Friday recruiting quick hitters
-A&M remains the team to beat per sources near Katy Seven Lakes DE David Ugwoegbu. His midweek visit only further solidified that.-Connecticut OL Jack Stewart was given the first class treatment by the A&M staff. This is a kid that had been one of the more responsive guys in terms of out of state linemen. He toured the academic stuff and dorms. It sounds like the coaches have prioritized about 3-4 out of state offensive linemen currently...Stewart, Hunter Rayburn from Florida (who was pretty impressive physically from what I hear), and Riley Simonds from Georgia. -I mentioned LSU LB commit Zach Edwards a few weeks back as a potential spring game visitor. I was told just a minute ago that the Aggies will likely get him in this weekend or next. -Add 2020 OL's Akinola Ogunbiyi and Kendal Septs as names I'm watching this weekend in terms of making a move. A south Houston source tells me a lot of Maroon momentum remains with those two.-Interesting local name to watch: College Station S Brandon Joseph has been added to the visitor list. This is a kid that I know has been evaluated by the staff recently, and he's picked up some nice offers plus big other interest in the region.-Odds are there will be more visitor names added throughout the day. -2021 Katy Taylor OL Bryce Foster will make his second trip up in as many weeks. He just set a personal record in the shot put that landed him as the top freshman thrower in the country. His older brother is Braden Meador, a former offensive lineman here. A whole bunch of folks thought he would commit once he was offered by the Aggies, but, being such a young kid, I think he was encouraged to take a little more time. Still, this one feels like it could go at any time.
