TexAgs Spring Tour: Aledo
This afternoon I was out at Aledo and the wind was absolutely brutal. It was also clear Aledo's 2020 class is about as talented as any I've seen go through there in a long long time.Of course RB Jase McClellan is the rock star with the offers and all the attention, but he is not the only one schools need to be watching. McClellan is no normal freshman. He has great size and he makes it look effortless. We have him ranked No. 2 in the state for 2020 and it is going to be hard to keep him away from that No. 1 spot. Also in the 2020 class is QB Jake Bishop. He's short but he is a winner and today's wind did not seem to impact his accuracy at all. He can zip it, and he has the Bearcats' future looking bright at the QB spot. Another 2020 Top 15 guy is Monterren Parks. He is a versatile slot guy right now and is already drawing college attention. Then there is safety Jason Kerl . At 6-0, 185-pounds he was strong in coverage and also came down hill pretty well. Like Parks, he is going to draw plenty of college attention. The 2019 group has the best is also not to be overlooked. ATH Jeffery Carter is 6-1, 180 and plays both sides of the football. He may be the best overall athlete on the field. Today he was limited but he passes the eyeball test and he showed some playmaking ability at WR. There is also another Harris in the mix. He's not on the o-line like his brothers Wes and Hunter, but 6-2, 200-pound Wyatt Harris projects as a linebacker who will knock your block off. Rounding out the group is CB Brannon Webb. At 5-10, 175 pounds he has a stout build to him and also gets some work on offense.
