A few Monday afternoon notes
-Moultrie (GA) Colquitt Co. 2019 Jay Ward did not take his visit to FSU and instead went to Kentucky this weekend. He does plan to take his official visit to Florida State this weekend though. Ward was previously committed to Kentucky and if he doesn't end up at FSU it looks like he goes back to Kentucky.-It does sound like the Aggies made up some ground on Daphne (AL) DB Christian Williams, however; the Bayou Bengals out of Baton Rouge sure seem to have some growing confidence there. He will take his official visit to LSU this weekend. Talking to a few LSU sources, it also sounds like confidence is up for Amite's Ishmael Sopsher and Devonta Lee.-After Chris Russell's visit to Arkansa it looks like it's Arkansas and Texas A&M for the Dyersburg (TN) LB. He is still scheduled to visit Tennessee this weekend but Arkansas seems to be the main threat according to sources I've talked to. -I caught up with a few underclassemen about the Super Bowl party. Duncanville S Chris Thompson said he does not believe he will be able to make it. EJ Smith said he will not make it either. I noted in the visit thread that 2021 OL Erick Cade and Texarkana Pleasant Grove 2021 DE Landon Jackson will also not be able to attend. -One person planning to make it in for the weekend is recent Texas A&M offer and Denton Ryan 2021 standout Ja'tavion Sanders. Coach Price is leading the Aggies recruiting efforts."Coach Price is a cool man. I've been talking to him for some weeks now. I like him and I'm thinking about going there one day," Sanders said. "First of all their facilities are beautiful, they have a good coaching staff, their football team is good, their track team is good, ect."Sanders picked up an offer from Georgia today and he plans to visit SMU, Texas, and Oklahoma in February. Texas is someone to watch in this one. They have not offered but coach Herman has let him know they want to offer when he goes up to the Longhorns Junior Day and he says his family are Longhorn fans. When the Longhorns offer it looks like they will become a major player here, but regardless of what happens I look for him to look at his options -Carrollton Ranchview 2020 ATH Michael Henderson is planning to get out to Texas A&M this spring. He will visit Texas this weekend and he plans to start taking his official visits in April and make his college decision in July or August."I have some schools that I like more than others, but I'm still open for everybody," Henderson said. "OU is standing out, Texas A&M, Florida, schools like that."He keeps in regular contact with coach Price and he liked what he saw of Jimbo Fisher"I think they're getting better," Henderson said. "I think Jimbo is leading them in the right direction. It's a step in the right direction."If I'm honest here, I'd say OU is my prediction.

Recruit Reaction - Texas A&M vs. Arkansas
Colleyville Heritage WR Kameron Brown "It's always a great experience watching the Aggies play! There wasn't as big of a crowd being at Cowboy Stafium, but their fans still find a way to make it sound like there's 100k there."Coppell K Caden Davis - Texas A&M commit"The game was pretty good. I don't think the team had the same juice as they did against Clemson, but it was still good. The atmosphere at AT&T Stadium is crazy, I can't wait to play there next year"Carrollton Ranchview 2020 ATH Michael Henderson "It was a good game. I was glad to see them come out with the win. It was a great atmosphere. There were a lot of Texas A&M fans, so it was good first experience."Marshall 2020 QB JJ Green "They game was great! I loved the atmosphere, and I had a great experience there. Their offense is similar to ours. I loved the energy all around!"Tyler Lee 2020 ATH Jamal Ligon "One thing that stood out to me throughout the game is how dominant and resilient their defense was. Of course they had some setbacks, but how they responded was admirable. "The atmosphere was great, the fans energy is contagious, you can really tell that they're into the game. I loved it, and the experience in all was great. I'd love to comeback to another game."Coppell 2021 WR KJ Liggins "The game was good. Both sides of the ball looked amazing, and it looked like they were having fun out there. The atmosphere was nice even for the game not to be at Kyle field, so the fans showed how much they love their Aggies."Dallas South Oak Cliff 2021 LB Jalen Jones "The game had me on edge from start to finish. The atmosphere of the game was energetic and spirited. The Aggie fan base is one of a kind. Being so close to the field, being surrounded by passionate fans, seeing the players and how much energy was in the stadium, I can only imagine what Kyle field is like."Denton Ryan 2021 DE Ja'tavion Sanders"It was fun and exciting. I like the energy of the team and the fans. I also like how they started the game strong. Running the opening kick off back. They went up 14 to 0 in the first quarter."

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
