Notes along the defensive front
My Katy area source continues to tell me that, as of now, fast rising Seven Lakes DE David Ugwoegbu will be in College Station. The only issue is that the junior day is scheduled to run from 10 till about 5, and David has work starting at 3. I've been told the A&M staff is working to make arrangements that would still allow Ugwoegbu and his mother to make the visit and return to Katy in time. One name that I've heard the A&M staff has been pushing on lately is Florida DL Jaquaze Sorrells. A Florida source tells me multiple members of the Aggie staff have been in touch recently, and Sorrells will visit on March 24th. Lastly, the Aggies are expecting the nation's top DE Kayvon Thibodeaux to visit at some point this spring. I've heard that both sides remain in relatively consistent communication. Thibodeaux told the Aggie staff when they were in California just before signing day that he would take a trip to A&M, and it sounds like that is now in the works. Kayvon has family in Louisiana (Lake Charles, I believe), and the visit to College Station could be worked out while he's down visiting those relatives just across the Sabine. Getting this kid on campus will be a pretty significant piece of news.
note on a big time 2019
The Aggies have been on California DE Kayvon Thibodeaux for a longtime, but I recently heard the Aggies are trending toward the top of his list and are expected to make his trimmed list. It also looks like he could visit the Aggies this spring or summer.
