More Tuesday recruiting notes
-Members of the A&M staff went by to see Alvin CB and Oregon commit Marques Caldwell today. The heat has been turned up from a lot of schools recently for the 6-2, 190 pounder. I was told he resembled current A&M corner Debione Renfro. I was told Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas, and Texas Tech have all been by Alvin recently to see him. -A&M coaches will also be by Fort Bend ISD to see CB Erick Young and 2020 OL Akinola Ogunbiyi.-At quarterback, Darrell Dickey will go see San Angelo QB Maverick McIvor during his spring game later this week. There's also a new name emerging out in Georgia. I've been told the Aggies will be out to see Lanier (GA) gunslinger Zach Calzada this week. He blew up at a Rivals camp recently and has started getting attention nationally. -Additionally at quarterback, A&M offered North Panola (MS) QB KJ Jefferson, and I'm told he's making plans to be on campus this summer.-A&M continues to evaluate LSU LB commit Zach Edwards out of Starkville (MS). If I had to guess today, I would say the kid doesn't sign with the Tigers. I'm not saying it's going to be A&M, but I just don't believe it'll be LSU.
Visitor List: Feb 10th weekend
Signing Day was just on Wednesday, but if we've learned anything about this coaching staff is that they aren't taking many days off. They'll have a nice group of visitors in this weekend. We will also turn the page to 2019 now so we won't be listing their class year anymore. As always, things could change, but this is the tentatively list.
