The ETSN's East Texas Combine in Tyler is always one of my favorites. There are always prospects at the combine you will not see anywhere else and this year did not disappoint. The only prospect in attendance with a Texas A&M offer was Marshall OL Chasen Hines. Texas A&M continues to pursue but he is firmly committed to LSU. He earned offensive MVP honors today.While there were not many current Texas A&M targets there were definitely a few names to watch.In the 2018 class Texarkana Texas High defensive end Leonard Parks (6-4.5, 230) turned a lot of heads today and entered the event as an East Texas prospect who is on the verge of some big offers. I don't have the official results but word was he went over 30 inches on his vertical. Iowa State and Kansas could be the first to offer, and he has SEC type of potential.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/866363912987574273Texarkana Liberty Eylau offensive lineman Kylar Cooks (6-5, 252) took home OL MVP. He has a huge frame and big hands and he impressed during one-on-one drills. He tied for the best 40 with a 4.47 and he has been invited to Texas A&M's camp in June. His only offers to this point are Northeast Oklahoma and UAPB. He's a deep sleeper right now, but he showed well today and if he performs like he did today ant an A&M camp I could see him catching some attention of coach Cooper who is looking at DB options.https://twitter.com/dwilliams_32/status/866447871113129985The 2019 class featured a strong group of receivers. Jefferson's TQ Jackson (6-2, 175) stole the show in the testing phase with a 33-inch vertical and a 4.47 40 time. He holds an offer from Jackson State and said coach Moorehead came by to take a look this spring. He also liked Texas and Houston, and while childhood favorites do not always carry over to the recruiting process it is something I like to note. Pittsburg's Keontae Burns (6-3, 185) entered as the most celebrated of the young group. He already holds offers from Iowa State, SMU, North Texas, and Southern Miss. He has been invited to Texas A&M's camp this summer along with Baylor's, Oklahoma State's, and Ohio State's. Newton's Tamauzia Brown (6-1, 170) says he plans to attend a Texas A&M camp this summer. He stands in at 6-3, 205 and also plays some defensive end for Lufkin. Oklahoma State, North Texas, Southern Miss, and Kansas State are showing the most early interest.
