A few Monday morning recruiting notes
The big question now that Ryan Watts is what will the Aggies do now. First, I do not expect the priorities to change much as Brauny pointed out on another thread. For one, the Aggies do have a commitment from the top CB in Texas, Jaylon Jones. I also look for Texas A&M to continue to pursue Watts. He has been a priority target for the coaches and there is still a long way to go before things are official. Blinn JC corner Marco Domio is also a high priority, and he has a shown a lot of interest in the Aggies since receiving his offer a couple of weeks ago. We have been saying this since his spring game visit, but I would put the Aggies at the top of his list. Aldine MacArthur CB Josh Eaton, Klein Oak DB Dwight McGlothern, and Broken Arrow (OK) DB Myles Slusher are a few other top targets to keep an eye on, as well as recently mentioned Christian Gonzalez of The Colony who should see the Aggies by his school in the near future. -On the running back front, I heard from a recent DFW source that Mesquite Poteet RB Seth McGowan continues to keep the Aggies high on his list and it looks like he will take a visit to College Station in the next few months. The Aggies were the only Texas team in his February top 8. -Phenix City (AL) Javion Cohen recently decommitted from South Carolina and he hit the road for stops at Georgia Tech and Auburn. Before committing to South Carolina, he had the Aggies high on his list and he has a strong bond with coach Henson. Since decommitting Henson and Cohen have been in touch and Cohen says the Aggies are definitely back in the mix. Now, the task will be getting him on campus, which Cohen says will likely have to be for an official visit and he is not planning to take those any time soon. Another OL to keep an eye on is Andrew Raym of Broken Arrow (OK). This is another prospect coach Henson has developed a good bond with dating back to before he was at A&M. I have heard from sources in Oklahoma there is mutual interest and I would not be surprised if the Aggies get an unofficial visit in the near future.-Tyler JC LB Maureese Wren is another intriguing prospect to watch. He visited this spring and he has stayed in touch with the Texas A&M staff. Look for the Aggies to be by TJC this week to check him out. He has official visits scheduled for Missouri (June 7) and Oregon State (June 21), and he will take an unofficial visit to Alabama on June 1.

A few DFW recruiting notes
Tyler JC 2020 LB Maureese Wren made his way to College Station yesterday. Discussions are just beginning with Texas A&M and the former Mesquite Horn ATH and Louisiana Tech signee who transferred to TJC in the fall. He said he spent some quality time with Buddy Johnson, Anthony Hines, and Leon O'Neal. He also got to spend time with coach Maurice Linguist, and said "That guy is hilarious." As for what he saw in practice, he said, "It was pretty awesome. The intensity was crazy."Coppell 2021 WR KJ Liggins made the trip. He was one of the first 2021 offers extended by the Aggies and he said the visit went well. He didn't single out any particular aspect of the trip, but he said he enjoyed his time in Aggieland.Joining Liggins was Denton Guyer 2021 QB Eli Stowers. The Aggies definitely like what they have seen and it was Stowers second trip to Aggieland since receiving his offer in January. I am told the Stowers visit went great. His father was with him. They were able to get an up close look at how coach Fisher works with the QBs. I was told they were impressed with the energy and the attention to detail in practice, and they liked how well coach Fisher prepares the QBs to become coaches on the field. Fort Worth Nolan Catholic 2022 ATH Emeka Megwa was also in town. I mentioned yesterday he is a 2022 who could be on offer watch. He is a big RB/LB type of athlete and he already holds some big offers at both positions. He was joined by his mother on the visit, and they were able to have a nice chat with coach Terry Price who recruits the area. He says he will definitely be back and may even make it in for the spring game. "What stood out the most is when coach Price told me how many running backs Jimbo Fisher's offense has sent to the league," Megwa said. "That gave me a lot of interest in the school."

Intriguing prospect planning to visit Texas A&M
LB Maureese Wren, Tyler Junior Collegehttps://twitter.com/TheMaureeseWren/status/1108816574474014720The discussion is just starting between Wren and Texas A&M, but he will visit Texas A&M on Saturday. Some of you guys may remember Wren as an intriguing prospect out of Mesquite Horn a few years ago. Big framed, athlete who was a standout receiver, but he held offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss and others as an OLB/DE type. He ended up signing with Louisiana Tech so he could play receiver. He transferred to Tyler JC during the season last year, and is now a defensive prospect at 6-4, 235. He is on track to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two seasons at his next stop. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11624495/5be4993502b21510444a4ec3

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
