Saturday DFW notes
It was kind of a busy day. First was a stop at Haslet Eaton for a 7on7 SQT. Mansfield was in action and Paulson Adebo was a man among boys on both sides of the ball. He played WR, S, and CBwnd he was making play after play. Big, athletic, long and he is smart. Keep an eye on TCU with him. He's also going to Stanford June 14 and if an offer comes I think he ends up out west. Kennedy Brooks was not there today.Colleyville Heritage 2018 WR Ke'von Ahmad was also very impressive. He had a big day at TCU last night and is heading to Georgia next. He plans to camp at Texas A&M on July 24 and currently holds offers from Louisville and North Texas. I fully expect his offer list to grow. The guy who most impressively passed the eyeball test was Arlington Lamar 2018 DL Tre Brown. At 6-5, 270 pounds Brown was out there running routes as a TE. He was light on his feet and has very little bad weight on his frame. He currently holds offers from Oklahoma, Missouri, and Baylor and Texas A&M is showing interest along with LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame. He visited and liked OU and will visit LSU in July. He's not planning a visit to A&M right now and it sounds like the Aggies are going to be playing catch up for the big guy. Another interesting note, Brown is the cousin of Auburn OL Deon Mix and is originally from Mississippi. On the way to the Oklahoma State/UMHB/every other college in America Mega Camp in Hurst I was able to track down Trestan Ebner. The Aggies are talking to him about playing a Christian Kirk-type role and he is planning to attend the A&M BBQ on June 11. TCU is the school to watch as Liucci talked about in his position breakdown. TCU is looking at him at DB and just offered his teammate Lakendrick Van Zandt. He does plan to visit A&M and he is also looking to visit Houston. At the UMHB Mega Camp I saw Spencer Sanders toss the ball around and he certainly impressed. He was on his game today. He didn't know what other camps he would attend. He was going to try and attend the A&M camp on June 8 but he didn't think he would be able to make it. I'd say the Aggies are still in a good spot with the Denton Ryan QB and he had some good things to say about coach Mazzone after the camp. Big Darrell Simpson was also out there walking around. He is heading to Ohio State next weekend and then he's going out to Georgia. He doesn't have any in-state visits planned right now and he wasn't naming any leaders. As for A&M he continues to talk to coach Terry Price and he is getting to know coach Jim Turner.Another bit of bad news, Verone McKinley III will not be able to make the BBQ. Not to worry, he's still very much considering the Aggies but he will be at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Atlanta. He plans to visit A&M during the season and I wouldn't be surprised if he visited before then.
