ETSN East Texas Combine - lots of talent
Alright sorry I'm a little late posting notes but I've got some great ones. Let's start with the big dog, Tyler John Tyler Damion Miller. Texas A&M continues to show interest and have invited him to the BBQ in June. He does not know yet if he will be able to make it right now. He did say he would probably make a visit to A&M this summer. He is committed to Texas and today he is rocking a UT jacket. He is still looking around and said he is about 80-percent committed. The biggest competition for UT right now is Ole Miss and Baylor.I got the feeling he likes that A&M is showing interest but that he is not all that high on the Aggies. His 2018 teammate Dekalen Goodson, DE/LB, is a little higher on Texas A&M. He grew up a fan of Houston and A&M. Houston was because of Tyus Bowser who played at John Tyler before moving on to UH. A&M, he just always liked the school and the colors. He picked up his first offer from Miss St last week along with 2018 LB teammate Tre Allison. Allison did not grew up a fan of any schools, but the SEC does have his attention. He does hope to hear from A&M, and liked what he saw when he took a trip to College Station about 4 years ago with his aunt. He saw Kyle Field and envisioned himself playing in the facility.Carthage 2018 LB Ahmad Brown passed the eyeball test at 6-0, 225. He grew up an A&M fan because of his cousin Ed Pope. SMU is showing the most attention with TCU also showing interest.2017 Center WR Octavius Evans continued to receive interest from Texas A&M. Moorehead dropped by the school and he's looking at going to camp. Out of his offers Oklahoma St and Miss St have his attention, Baylor and TCU have his attention out of those who haven't offered yet.Marshall OC Chasen Hines has been offered by Baylor, and LSU is coming on strong. TCU and K-State are also on him. He grew up a fan of LSU and he plans to camp in Baton Rouge. He hasn't heard much from A&M but he does plan to attend the camp in Kilgore. He said it's too early to declare leaders in recruiting.Mineola 2018 LB Michael Drennon is the son of Mineola head coach Joe Drennon. He is really close with the Anderson twins and he stands in at 6-0, 217. He plans to camp at A&M.Quick note on Lagaryonn Carson, Texas A&M continues to show a lot of interest. Both Chavis and Price stopped by this spring. I was told by someone close to him "UT leads but you never know with these kids." Baylor and Arkansas also continue to show interest

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
