Dillon Mitchell

2028 CE King ATH Dillon Mitchell is entering his junior campaign as one of the most highly coveted players in Houston and the state of Texas. As many of you know, he's an A&M legacy with his dad Billy playing for the Aggies in the early 1990s.I've been on the phone today with a couple of people to get a temperature check one week before the season starts. I lot of talk surrounding his recruitment has centered around Texas A&M and rightfully so. He's been pinned at the top of the Maroon & White board since the construction plan for that cycle began. However, landing him won't be without a fight.Ohio State and Oregon have gone pedal down in their attempt to pry him away from the Lone Star State. Mitchell is a bonafide track star (probably the fastest football player I've ever seen/covered) and went to Eugene to compete twice this summer. The Buckeyes efforts have been manned by new OC Arthur Smith and WR coach Cortez Hankton. My source in Houston said this morning that the, "Buckeye recruiting machine is impressive. They've been turning it up on Dillon."Mike Elko, Holmon Wiggins, and Trooper Taylor are heading the team in pursuit of him in College Station.I like A&M's chances still, but again, this one may require the sleeves to be rolled up a little more than anticipated.
