A Few Monday Recruiting Notes
A couple of longtime Texas A&M OL targets have decisions coming up in the near future. Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter's OT Oluwasemilore Olubobola is set to decide tomorrow. He lists Texas A&M among his finalists alongside Miami and Notre Dame. This one has been trending a different direction for a few weeks now, and right now Notre Dame would be my prediction. Chandler (AZ) Basha OT Jake Hildebrand is set to decide next Tuesday (May 19). He lists the Aggies as a finalist along with Arizona State, Oregon, and Utah, and I expect him to stay out West with Utah and Arizona State the two I'm watching the closestWe have mentioned the Aggies have been more focused on other targets, with the likes of. Ismael Camara, Albert Simien, Mark Matthews, and Jordan Agbanoma a few targets of note to keep an eye on as the Aggies continue to build the 2027 OL class.Staying on the 2027 front the Aggies extended another CB offer, Indianapolis (IN) Lawrence Central standout Errol Kerns III received an offer this weekend. He committed to Miami (OH) in late April, but he has seen his stock take off recently with Michigan and Texas A&M offers both arriving on Saturday and Kentucky and Northwestern the most recent to join his growing list. The 6-foot, 195-pound corner is also a standout wrestler and reports a 4.44 forty in his twitter bio. Over the weekend, recent CB offer Tavares Harrington announced a top five of Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame.
Ags well-positioned for another solid offensive group in 2027
Texas A&M already has a quarterback and two offensive linemen committed in the class of 2027, but Mike Elko & Co. are drawing interest from many of the nation's top running backs, receivers, tight ends and offensive linemen as the 2027s take over in the spotlight.
A few recruiting notes and quotes
The Texas A&M staff continues to hit the roads and check in with top prospects. One of those recently visited was Olney (MD) Good Counsel All American EDG Anthony Sweeney. The Aggies have been a strong contender. He visited in October for the Mississippi State game and Aggieland made a strong impression. "It's a special place," Sweeney said. The Aggies recently made his top 12 Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas Tech, and he is making plans to get back out to College Station. "I'll be back out there for a spring practice, early to mid-March," Sweeney said. Texas A&M is also scheduled to get an official visit. He also has officials locked in with Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, and Tennessee. **********Orlando (FL) Jones EDG Frederick Ards III was one of two prospects who made it to campus over the weekend, and if that was not enough, he was also visited by Mike Elko earlier this week.Texas A&M Head Coach Mike Elko in the building. @AggieFootball pic.twitter.com/9agggp4z5y— Jones Tigers Football (@JonesHSFootball) January 26, 2026
