Notes from a couple DFW stops
I made a few school visits this week. Monday I stopped at North Crowley and Tuesday I stayed a little closer to the house with a stop by Argyle Liberty Christian. At North Crowley the Aggies, and everyone else in the country, is hot on the trail of 2026 OT John Turntine. 6-5, 300 and if you are looking for a prototypical OT Turntine is your guy. He is a big framed kid, low body fat, and he has the bend and flexibility coaches love. He is also inexperienced on the football field with a track background and pro football bloodlines. His freshman year had some growing pains, but his game grew by leaps and bounds over the course of the 2023 season. When it was all over he earned all-area and all-state honors to go along with all-district. He is regarded as one of the top prospects in 2026 and Texas A&M offered in January with area recruiter Holmon Wiggins leading the way. He is currently in the early processes of getting to know Texas A&M's staff but a few aspects of the pgram have his attention. "Definitely the academics," Turntine said. "They have a great academic program. They have a great school. They're big in Texas." He hopes to visit Texas A&M in the future but he does not have anything setup at the moment. This spring he has a few visits on his mind. "Definitely all the schools in Texas. You know show them love," Turntine said. "Really a big one, I want to see if they reach out, Oregon. I'm going to OU next month. Really all the schools that have offered I'd like to go see what they have to offer so I can make my best decision when I decide what school I want to go to." In addition to football, Turntine also competes on the track. Last week he threw PRs of 48.11 in shot and 143 in discus. ***************In the 2025 class North Crowley LB Jonathan Cunningham is already on the Aggies' radar, and he visited Texas A&M in January. He visited with his family and he said he liked the vibe around the program and how much one-on-one attention they received throughout the day caught his attention. The Aggies continue to keep an eye on his growth and development. He is currently a lean 6-3, 190 but he does have a frame to build on and plays a fast and physical brand of ball. He currently does not have a return trip scheduled to College Station, but he continues to communicate with the staff. He also visited Texas, TCU, Baylor, and SMU before the dead period. All four have offered and he mentioned them as well as Utah, who has also offered, as the programs showing the most attention right now. He hopes to make a few college visits this spring but the only trip he currently has scheduled is a trip to Austin for the Horns spring game April 20. ****************A new prospect emerging on the Aggies' radar is North Crowley 2025 OT Henry Fenuku. He checks in at 6-4.5, 290 and he is coming off a breakout junior season. Originally from Ghana, he has only played the game for three years. He has a soccer background and he is light on his feet, and his phone has been ringing off the hook since the end of the season. The Aggies have not offered but they have been in communication with coaches at North Crowley and he is a prospect quickly rising up the OL board. Offers have arrived from the likes Ole Miss, Oregon, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas Tech, SMU, and Baylor, and he is preparing for a busy spring visit schedule. "Texas Tech for sure," Fenuku said. "Ole Miss, I'm going to get down there. I'm going down to Mizzou. Oregon, I'm going to Oregon. SMU, yeah SMU for sure." Ole Miss has been coming on strong and as he looks at his options, he has a few factors high on his list. "It's just finding a home and family," Fenuku said. "Coaches you connect with, and players. I want a relationship with a coach. If you're able to get better on and off the field. That's what I'm really looking for a home and a family." *************At Liberty Christian, 2026 QB Quinn Murphy is on the Aggies' radar. He completed over 70-percent of his passes and threw for 3,000 yards and 50 TDs as a sophomore at Austin Regents The 6-3, 188-pound QB is already well established on college radars and he currently holds offers from Arkansas, UConn, Houston, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma State, SMU, Tulsa, UAB, UCF, and UTSA. He is familiar with Texas A&M. He camped last summer. Coach Klein was not able to get by Liberty Christian before the dead period but the lines of communication are open. ***********A few more prospects to put on your radar CB Draden Fullbright, North Crowley (2025) 5-11, 175 move in from Georgia. Already holds offers from FSU, Georgia, Kentucky, USC, Ark St, Campbell, Georgia Southern, and Memphis TE Jeramie Cooper, North Crowley (2027) 6-3, 220, 1st team all-district with offers from Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Baylor S Cooper Witten, Argyle Liberty Christian (2027) 6-1, 195, earned first team all-state

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
