Recruiting Notes on some top targets
I was at OT7s in DFW today. There were a few top Texas A&M targets on hand and i have a few notes for you guys.It is safe to say the Aggies have the eye of Goodland (KS) TE Linkon Cure. He was at A&M on March 23 and he says he plans to return this spring and he expects to take an OV.Coach Klein and coach Ellsworth have done a great job leading Texas A&M's effortsOregon, K-State, Penn State, and Kansas are a few other schools coming strong. He has OVs scheduled to Oregon and Kansas St, and he also plans to schedule something for Penn StateDuncanville (TX) 2026 DE Kevin Ford Jr. has visited A&M each of the last two weekends and he has plans to get back to OU for the Sooner's spring game. he has also recently visited Texas and Penn State and plans to visit Miami this spring.He liked what he saw from coach Chaos and TJE, and the genuineness of the staff has caught his attention.Waco (TX) University 2026 WR London Smith is making plans to get back to College Station. He believed he would visit for Texas A&M's spring game.Coach Trooper Taylor has been leading the Aggies efforts and Smith and his family have some deep ties to Taylor who coached his father. Baylor, Texas A&M, and Texas are all schools coming on strongI'd been hearing some talk about Texas A&M with Richmond (VA) Trinity Episcopal CB Terrance Edwards. He is familiar with the program and he has been in communication with the staff. He mentioned the Aggies being a big boy school and a program he grew up paying attention to.. He has yet to visit but he is interested in the A&M program; however right now West Virginia and Virginia Tech are the schools coming on the strongest. Louisville is also getting after him pretty hard.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
