Some quick notes and some new underclassmen
I dropped by Garland Naaman Forest and checked in on Markis Deal, and this one has been trending away from Texas A&M for awhile. He wants to play DL and Texas A&M has been clear they see his future on OL. He named a top four of Arkansas, USC, TCU, and Georgia, but it sounds like Arkansas, USC, and TCU may have the best chances with him. He did not have any official visits scheduled but now that the State Track meet is over I bet he starts scheduling some. Texas A&M offered 2026 QB Kane Archer of Greenwood (AR) yesterday. He checks in at 6-0, 185 and he is already well known by college coaches as one of the top up and coming QBs in the country. In addition to Texas A&M, he also holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Michigan, and Missouri.Greenwood (AR) 2026 QB @KaneArcher9 pic.twitter.com/Xf04uLN71C— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) January 29, 2022

Now for some new names I could see popping up on Texas A&M's radar down the line.Let's start with Dequane Prevo, a 2026 ATH out Texarkana (TX) Liberty-Eylau. He checks in at 5-11, 165 and is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. He is an explosive athlete with serious speed and quickness. He clocked a 22.6 200m and recorded a 21-6 long jump this spring and projects to CB on defense and WR on offense. He has swagger and confidence to go with his abilities and he is quickly making a name for himself. Halready holds offers from FAU, Houston, SMU, Texas Tech, UTSA, Penn St, Mizzou, and Arkansas St. He vsited Texas A&M in January and the A&M staff is already keeping a close eye on him.Liberty-Eylau 2023 S Tracy Revels vs Dequane Prevo - Round 1@D1Tracy | @prevo_pre | @EarlGill10 | @LibertyEylauAth pic.twitter.com/vDY8TG2L3f— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) April 25, 2022

His mother was pretty well known on the track in her days at Lamar and Qumonte has turned quite a few heads the spring on the field and on the track.Arlington (TX) Lamar 2025 WR Qumonte Williams is already generating big talk around Lamar. At 6-4, 165 he is also turning heads in 400 and as a jumper on the track. #VFND pic.twitter.com/QD3tEDLIci— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) May 6, 2022
North Richland Hills (TX) Richland RB Michael Turner is another 2025 to watch. Turner checks in at 5-10, 190 and brings a unique blend of power, speed, and vision. He played some receiver on the varsity level, but quickly found his home at RB for the Royals. He received his first offer this spring from Colorado, and he has some strong RB bloodlines. His father also named Michael Turner, signed with Wisconsin out of Fort Worth Dunbar.Richland 2025 RB Michael Turner @MichaelTurnerj | @GedKates | @CoachHiles | @Royals_FB pic.twitter.com/fUSms2ZzCf— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) May 4, 2022
