DFW Recruiting Notes
Texas A&M has been very active in DFW and March 30 looks like a busy weekend with Mesquite Horn standout OL Lamont Rogers, Lewisville OL Michael Fasusi, and Denton Guyer DL Xavier Ukponu all planning to be College Station that day.In the 2026 class Prosper (TX) OL Zaden Krempin tells me he will return to College Station for an April 6 visit. I spoke to a few sources on Fasusi and the Aggies continue to do great work there. Elko and Cushing continue to make a strong impression and as noted by his visit he continues to take a long look at the Aggies. When it comes to leaders I do not know if he is ready to declare anything just yet, but I expect Oklahoma and Texas are going to be prime competitors. He likes the idea of playing in the SEC, his relationship with the coaches is a big thing for him, and I am told the ability to compete for a championship is also something high on his priority list. Missouri really impressed him on his visit before the dead period and Oregon is another school he has shown a lot of interest. Fasusi went home sick yesterday, so I missed him when I dropped by the school, but I was able to see quite a few top prospects. If you are looking for potential Texas A&M targets, CB Dylan Davis (6-0, 170) and DL Xavier Fleming (6-1, 270) are a couple of 2026s who could end up on Texas A&M's radar. Davis got a lot of great reps and has the tools that could see him grow and develop into a top tier prospect over time. Fleming was named district Defensive Newcomer of the Year last year. He tallied 51 tackles as an interior DL and he also plays for the Lewisville basketball team.It is the class of 2027 though which has people around the program buzzing. There is a lot of young talent and several are already picking up scholarship offers. ATH Derrick Martin (5-9, 165) plays RB, WR, CB, and as a return man. He already holds offers from Ole Miss, Colorado State, and UNT. QB Tre Williams (6-0, 185) holds offers from Arizona St, Coloado St, Texas St, and UNLV. ATH Aiden Evans (5-11, 165) is making a name for himself as an electric athlete who makes plays at WR and DB. He currently holds offers from Colorado St and UNTWR Landon Bogany (6-2, 193) is a big physical receiver and he recently received his first offer from UNT. WR Deontae Weathers (6-0, 160) and ATH Devin Robinson (5-10, 160) are a couple more in the 2027 class to watch.Lancaster (TX) wide receiver Emmanuel Choice is one guy we have not talked much about, but he is a guy to put on your radar. He checks in at 6-5, 200 and he is one long, fluid athlete at WR. His quick feet and ability to get in and out of his breaks is unique for a guy that size. He quickly tracks the ball and adjusts his body and his long arms give him a big catch radius. The Aggies offered in December and area recruiter Tony Jerod-Eddie and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins have been leading the Aggies efforts. Oklahoma was one of the first on him and right now I'd give the Sooners the edge. TCU is also coming on strong, and he also visited Texas before the dead period. He has been in regular contact with the Aggies since receiving the offer and it looks like the prospects are promising of him making his first Aggieland visit this spring.

A few 2025 notes
Elko and staff are turning their attention to 2025 and this weekend they will have a Jr Day on Saturday, January 13. It looks like it's going to be a pretty small but very talented group.Earlier tonight WR Kaliq Lockett of Sachse said he plans to be there. Lewisville OL Michael Fasusi told me he plans to be there. The Aggies were very active early in his recruitment but had really fallen behind the competition in the fall. Since Elko and staff returned things have changed. Duke was a very early offer and Fasusi said he is loving the new staff.Denton Guyer DL Xavier Ukponu also said he will be there. He said coach Spencer is his guy and he loves his energy. Brauny also tweeted Cy-Fair DL Landon Rink plans to visit this weekend and i'm sure we will have a few more confirmations closer to the weekend so stay tuned.

A few more weekend recruiting notes
As Brauny said in the longform I've talked to a few sources who indicated the Aggies made a great impression on Solomon Williams while he was in town. I wouldn't go as far as to call the Aggies his leader but I'm told they are right up there high on his list with Texas and Alabama thought to be the main competition. We reported Sunday Kobe Black did not make it in for an official visit as originally thought. One reason being his dad could not make the trip. It does look like it will be rescheduled. I'm told the end of the month so that points to the South Carolina game. Right now I'd say the Longhorns are the team to beat, but Texas A&M is not out of it. Getting him and his family on campus is going to have to happen if the Aggies are to make a move, but they made a big move at the end of July and there's no reason to think they can't do the same with a strong visit this fall. Oklahoma City (OK) Carl Albert 2025 LB Marcus James announced he will name his top 5 but it also sounds like he is getting close to a commitment decision. Coming off his visit it sounds like the Aggies made a positive move up his interest list, but I do get the feeling OU is the school with the edge right now.Denton (TX) Guyer 2025 DL Xavier Ukponu was blown away by the atmosphere this weekend. He called it the best game day atmosphere he has been to, and then he said the d-line is one of the best in the nation. He spoke with Coach E and coach Fisher after the game and while he doesn't have any other visits scheduled he did say he'd probably visit OU next.We will have something out soon on Lufkin (TX) 2025 DL Zion Williams. This weekend was his first game day visit to Texas A&M and the atmosphere definitely made a strong impression. The 6-4, 310-pound standout keeps in close contact with coach Robinson and has established a strong bond already. USC and TCU are a couple other schools he mentioned who are keeping in close contact and his next visit is in a couple of weeks to USC. Williams also visited Texas A&M this summer and after talking to him i get the feeling the Aggies are very well positioned. I mentioned in the weekend running thread but thought i'd post it here too. After the game Forney (TX) 2025 LB Kelvion Riggins said he had a great time at the game. He said the energy of the defense stood out in his mind and he thought the LBs played just like him - downhill and fast. Durkin also made sure he got that message and he said Jimbo found him after the game. Next up on his schedule is a trip to the Tennessee/Georgia game.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
