National Signing Day Thoughts, Notes, Storylines
Today is Signing Day. We are not anticipating any new additions to Texas A&M's 2023 recruting class, but there is action to watch across the country.Everyone's favorite sprinter/TE/edge defender Nyckoles Harbor of Washington (DC) Archbishop Carroll. He will announce his choice at 1 pm ETTE Duce Robinson of Phoenix (AZ) Pinnacle may opt not to sign today. He's deciding between Georgia, Texas, USC, and Oregon and he is also a top baseball prospect. His father, Dominic, played WR at Florida St from 2001-2004.Gardena (CA) Junipero Serra CB Rodrick Pleasant will announce his choice between Oregon, USC, Boston College, UCLA, and Cal. Oregon and USC are currently drawing most of the attention. The saga of Pittsburg (CA) standout QB Jaden Rashada appears to be nearing an end. After a very public split with Florida, TCU and Arizona State, where his father played, have received much of the attention down the back stretch.Oregon seems poised to make some noice, Prime Time and Colorado have shaken things up a bit in Boulder down the stretch, and 2024 standout CB Ellis Robinson IV's commitment are a few more national storylines to follow. Robinson is originally from the northeast and now is at IMG, will announce today with Miami, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, and Colorado rounding out his top 5.In Texas there has been some movement among remaining top 2023s. North Shore CB Jacoby Davis committed to Kansas and S Jayven Anderson recently chose UNT. North Texas recently saw Dallas South Oak Cliff LB Dylan Brown-Turner flip to Florida State, and Ashton Porter is expected to make things official with Oregon. Red Oak S Warren Roberson is set to decide between USC, TCU, and Texas today. He has been a longtime commit to the Horned Frogs but opted not to sign early. Texas is coming in strong and building momentum, while USC has been hanging around.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
