A couple of visitor notes
The Aggies have been active in Melissa, TX. Many of you probably already saw Texas A&M offered 2023 standout OL and TCU commit Trevor Goosby - if not check the links here and here - but that is not the only recent activity the Aggies have had in Melissa. On Tuesday the Aggies hosted a pair of Melissa 2024 DLs - Nigel Smith II and Jackson Ford - Smith is a national recruit who already has an offer and Ford is an intriguing 6-6, 230-pound QB turned DE and TE. Smith said Texas A&M has really ramped up the attention so he wanted to come down and check things out. He spent some quality time with coach Fisher and with coach Price. They made sure he knows he is a priority in the 2024 class. He visited in the spring and he also attended camp, and he has always spoken highly of the Aggies. He is not naming any leaders or anything and he is not in any hurry to decide, but I expect the Aggies to be a big player throughout..Ford has flown under the radar for a number of reasons. 1.) He just recently moved from QB to DE and TE. 2.) He is new to Texas and Melissa. Ford started at QB for Hendersonville (TN) Beech last fall and played a few games at DE as well. His size and athleticism have been attracting attention throughout the spring and he currently holds offers from UTSA, Jacksonville St, Texas Tech, and North Texas. Most of his offers right now are at TE but he's getting interest at both TE and DE. His dad played DE at BYU in the early 90s.He spent most of his time around coach Price and the Aggies made him feel welcome throughout the day. He liked the defense and liked what he saw from the campus. Jackson will visit Texas tomorrow and Nigel is headed to Miami this weekend, and we'll have more from both soon.

Wednesday Jimbo Fisher Football Camp Thread - Week 2
It's time for another week of camps. I'm about to head over to registration. A few guys to keep an eye on todayTexas A&M 2025 QB offer Roy Thomas Jenkins of Beaumont West Brook 2024 Cy-Fair QB Trey Owens 2024 Byron Nelson DB Ashton Williams Since radio this morning I have been told Melissa 2023 OL Trevor Goosby will not make it to camp today. He's a guy I had on offer watch, but he had an illness in the family so they are not able to make the trip today. He is also scheduled to take his OV to TCU starting tomorrow so it does not look like he will be able to camp this summer. I do expect the Aggies to continue to keep a close eye on him.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
