A few weekend recruiting notes
I spent the day at the True Buzz 7-on-7 Invitational in Dallas today and now I bring you a few notes Pilot Point LB/ATH Ish Harris scheduled his Texas A&M official visit for June 11-13, and he has a few more on his schedule as well. He will take an official visit to Utah June 4-6, an unofficial visit to Oklahoma June 18-20, and an official visit to Texas June 25-27. He's also planning to schedule an official to Miami, and he plans to take an official to Oklahoma during the season. He did not have any other unofficial visits scheduled but he did not count out the possibility of future unofficial visits. In the past he has talked about making his decision during the season, but today he said he had an August timeline. A&M's campus continues to stick out in his mind since his self-guided tour and he talks to coach Santucci, coach Price, and coach Fisher on a regular basis. In fact he spoke to coach Santucci today. The possibility of early playing time, the Agricultural Engineering program, and the campus all standout when he thinks of the Aggies. Arlington Bowie offensive lineman Devon Campbell said he and his family are in the middle of scheduling his official visits. He knows Oklahoma and USC will get officials but he did not have those dates today. He does not have a date scheduled for Texas A&M, but he said coach Henson and him have talked about him visiting soon. He has also not counted out an unofficial visit in the near future, possibly for the spring game.Lewisville 2024 DB Jaydan Hardy told me he recently communicated with Texas A&M's Terry Price. He is obviously in the very early stages of his recruiting process but he is quickly establishing himself as one of the top underclassmen in the country. He already checks in at 6-foot and 175-pounds and he earned district newcomer of the year honors after recording 61 tackles, 2 INTs, 1 FF, and 1 FR in 2020. He already holds an offer from Mississippi State and Illinois State. His father Daryl Hardy was a standout LB at Tennessee.Denton Ryan 2023 LB Anthony Hill continues to keep an open mind to the recruiting process, but he told me he keeps in contact with coach Santucci on a weekly basis and the two are developing a strong bond. He has mentioned it before but Buddy Johnson continues to come to mind when he thinks of the A&M program. They are both products of the TrueBuzz 7-on-7 program and Hill considers Johnson a mentor and role model. Another plus for the Aggies, Anthony James is also in his ear about joining him in College Station. Another 2023 note, DeSoto WR Johntay Cook has been in close contact with the Aggies this week and he told me he plans to talk to coach Craig this evening. I caught up with a couple of 2023 Miami-area offers today. Miami Killian S Stanquan Clark (6-2, 205) was offered by TE coach James Coley. He said the strength of the A&M program has caught his attention. He currently feeling out the recruiting process and mentioned Auburn, South Carolina, Florida State, and Miami as schools showing strong interest, and he is keeping an open mind. Miami St. Brendan Catholic ATH Richard Dandridge was also offered by coach Coley. At 5-10, 155, he is a versatile threat known for his speed and quickness. 2021 Texas A&M signee Yulkeith Brown, who played with the same 7-on-7 program, has also talked up the A&M program to him. Both Clark and Dandridge were standouts this weekend for the Miami Immortals this weekend. If you are looking for a guy who has been a standout the last few weeks and absolutely lit it up today, Oklahoma State commit and Euless Trinity RB Ollie Gordon is that guy. He continues to show off his versatile skillset. He has been a physical receiver downfield in the passing game, and we all know what he is capable if in the running game after this fall.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
