Aggies surge up 2023 Kissimmee (FL) DE Derrick LeBlanc's list after visit
Kissimmee (FL) 2023 defender Derrick LeBlanc? is regarded as one of the top defensive linemen in the country, and last week he visited Texas A&M for the first time. He saw the facilities, he worked with the coaches, and he was able to get an overall feel for what the Aggie program can offer.

My Three Things
*Arlington Martin 2023 CB Javien Toviano made a strong case for 5-star - The Arlington Martin CB went to camp and flat out handled some business on Thursday. He did not run the forty, but there was no need. The long, lean cornerback was fast, physical, and locked down receiver after receiver. I saw four straight one-on-one reps that went pass break-up, pass break-up, pass break-up, and an INT, and the INT was the worst rep. Then he showed strong in zone coverages as well during 7-on-7. He was on his game. I only saw one pass caught on him all day and even then he made a great play, the receiver just made a great catch. He is definitely in that five-star discussion for me in 2023. As for his recruiting, I would not put him as a lock for anyone, even those Longhorns. I would say, and he said it too, the Aggies are a team he plans to highly consider throughout his recruiting process. Another break up for the gentleman from Arlington Martin, Javien Toviano (@Jaaee2saucy_) is doing work #GigEm pic.twitter.com/kB210pOKvU— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 17, 2021 *A decommitment happened yesterday and it had to be a receiver - Run to the cliffs, the 2022 class is falling apart. WR recruiting is a joke. I saw this that and any other rumor out there about negative recruiting at the position. I get it, Isaiah Sategna's decision was a surprise, and there is no doubt he is one fast dude, Olin wrote a whole story about it, and that is one thing Texas A&M has prioritized in the 2022 class. However, it only takes a quick look at what the Aggies are doing at the position to see there are plenty of options. Is there work to be done? Absolutely. But, there are options. Just off the top of my head Kojo Antwi, Chris Marshall, and Brenen Thompson. Shoot, recruiting has been going so well we were all sitting here trying to figure out how the Aggies could possibly fit five receivers in 2022. You hate to see decommitments happen, but in this situation, I think the Aggies have set themselves up nicely to move on to other options.*A few more thoughts-I like the Aggies' chances to end the commitment drought this weekend. Last weekend, I thought the Aggies had a better chance to grab a commitment than the first weekend. and this weekend, I think the chances are better than the first two -The best camp performance from someone not named Javien Toviano this week was 2023 DE Derrick Leblanc. The Orlando (FL) area standout put together a great workout Wednesday morning.Violence by Derrick LeBlanc (@getrightderrick) #GigEm pic.twitter.com/uP1lSRURac— Jason Howell (@Jason_Howell) June 16, 2021 -I'm not sure some of you guys understand how big of a recruit Jordan Renaud is, but he's bigtime, national recruit, and the Aggies are positioning themselves really well. -Speaking of 2023 DL recruiting, Texas A&M is setting themselves up nicely on the 2023 d-line front. They already have a commitment from Anthony James and are not only looking good with Renaud but also David Hicks.

Expected unofficials and camp names to watch
The final piece to our 5 part June visitor overview takes a look at some of the key names to know that we are expecting to see in College Station throughout the entirety of the month of June as unofficial visitors and/or campers. First off, there are going to be many more names come to campus than we have listed here. There's no way to get a grasp of every single D1 prospect that will be coming to camps. The unofficial visitors are a bit easier to get a hold of, but we'll likely be missing a handful of names, plus or minus. With that said, here's what we've been able to gather so far. It's still a pretty extensive list. If we've got dates of the visits, I'll add those as well. TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
