Some recruiting stuff I'm hearing out thereThere has been a lot of talk about Garland Lakeview Centennial five-star 2021 running back Camar Wheaton narrowing his options, and he may just do that in the next month or so. That said, right now I would say his recruiting process is still very wide open. After talking to a few sources close to his process major programs in Texas and Oklahoma are likely to play big roles in his recruiting process due to their proximity to the DFW-area and family. Talk of teams pulling away seems to be premature at this point.Aledo wide receiver JoJo Earle received an offer from Texas A&M on Friday and then Saturday he dropped a top five of Oklahoma, TCU, Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU. It was a bit surprising Texas was left out of his list because the Longhorns and LSU have been widely speculated to lead the way. It sounds like the change in offensive staff at Texas is what has them off his list right now. As for the Aggies, when the offer was extended I felt the Aggies were playing from behind since other top programs had already offered, but I do get the sense there is still time. I would not count out Earle making a campus visit. If the Aggies can get him on campus things start to look up. Dallas Skyline 2021 Quaydarius Davis has put the Aggies in his top five, but if I am making predictions I bet he ends up back at Texas when it is all said and done. Dallas Kimball 2021 CB Ishmael Ibraheem received an invitation to the Under Armour All-American game today. He has had Texas A&M high on his list of schools. Today he admitted the departure of Mo Linguist hit him pretty hard. That said, he still likes what the Aggies have to offer and several strong bonds in College Station. If I had to guess I'm pretty sure he will be one of the first calls for whoever is named cornerbacks coach, and I would also look for him to get to campus before the February dead period.A few notes from the last few daysTrench Warfare camp-Arlington Bowie 2022 OL Devon Campbell is one big, mean dude with some long arms. I see him as an OG prospect and Texas has an early edge. He grew up a longhorn fan and current Longhorn Tope Imade is a former Bowie Vol he looked up to. He checks in at 6-4, 280 and has a long reach. He was light on his feet and won the great majority of his reps throughout the day. He currently holds an offer from Liberty.-Argyle 2022 OL Sheridan Wilson is also one to watch. He started at RT for Agyle and was named district newcomer of the year. He was the MVP of last year's trench warfare camp and he had another excellent showing. First off he passed the eyeball test with a mullet, a head band, and a porn stache. Then he was light on his feet and handled business in one-on-ones. His dad played at Auburn and his brother, Preston Wilson, is currently at Oklahoma State. He was a lean 6-foot-5, 215 pounds. He is young and raw but he flashed some nice athleticism. He showed some quickness, flexibility, and a nice little spin move. His length is very intriguing. As he gets in the weight room and improves his strength and he adds weight to his frame, he is a guy I could see developing into a major prospect. Pylon 7on7Here's a few standouts, and yes, I definitely focused in on a few teams while I was out there.WR Phaizon Wilson, Lancaster - 2022 - Just recently added Kansas to his offer list. At 6-3, 205, he is quick off the ball, has an effortless stride, and he attacks the ball. He was an every-down, every-situation threat for Team Grind. Kansas and Texas Tech have jumped on him early. He is also a standout basketball player for Lancaster.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1216409124717678592?s=20S Isaiah Nwokobia, Dallas Skyline - 2021 - He may not have an ounce of fat on him and he was showed some great instincts and ball skills on the back end of the Team Grind defense. CB Malik Muhammad, Dallas South Oak Cliff - 2023 - He looked right at home playing against the best of the best for Team Grind. There's a reason he has already received several college offers and coaches at SOC are singing his praises. He was on point every time I focused on him. QB Brayden Schager, Dallas Highland Park - 2021 - In case you were wondering, yes, Highland Park has another QB who is going to play high level college football. He can make all the throws and he plays a smart brand of football. He has been a leader for Team Grind the last few years. QB Nick Evers, Flower Mound - 2022 - Evers is the son of former Texas A&M basketball walk-on Derrick Evers and he has shown quite a bit of ability. This weekend he threw with touch and accuracy and may have had the prettiest deep ball I saw all weekend as he worked with Texas Flex. He checks in at 6-3, 180.QB Garrett Nussmeier, Flower Mound Marcus - 2021 - Nussmeier continues to impress at every turn. He has the ability to fit the ball in some tight windows and he throws from multiple arm slots. The 2022 LB just transferred from Bishop Dunne to Duncanville and he is a legit 6-foot, 220. That's up from about 5-10 this summer. He looks the part and he is excited to get to work at Duncanville. Duncanville's LBs are going to be flat out nasty. He is the younger brother of former Rockwall LBs Anfernee and Alston Orji. He transferred from Rockwall to Bishop Dunne for the 2019 season and spent some time on defense as well as offense.
