Unoffered names to keep an eye on
As we get ready to undertake a full slate of Texas HS football this week, I thought it'd be a good refresher to list all the names we are monitoring in terms of A&M involvement as the season unfolds. Now, we are not saying all these kids are in-line for offers. Rather, these are kids that with a few weeks of strong tape could put themselves on the Aggie radar. I'll predominantly take care of the greater Houston area guys and leave Dallas up to Howell. Jason, if I miss anyone, feel free to add them. 2021RBAlton McCaskill - Conroe Oak RidgeOLRemington Strickland - Ft Bend ChristianCole Carson - Bogota Rivercrest (Arkansas)Kamron Scott - Converse Judson (UTSA)Canon Boone - Dickinson (Virginia Tech)Gabe Blair - Denton GuyerEzra Oyetade - Garland Lakeview Centennial (Arizona State)Jack Leyrer - Dallas Highland Park (Stanford)Jack Tucker - Argyle (Texas Tech)Tate Williams - Wall (Baylor)TEMason Tharp - Klein (Texas Tech)WRJohn Paul Richardson - Ft Bend Ridge Point (Oklahoma State)Nehemiah Noel - Galveston BallJerand Bradley - DeSoto (Texas Tech)DTByron Murphy II - DeSoto (Baylor)DEJe'lin Samuels - Pasadena Sam RayburnLandyn Watson - Hutto (TCU)LBKeith Cooper - Dickinson SCaleb Ellis - Frisco Independence (Stanford)2022QBCade Klubnik - Austin WestlakeConner Weigman - BridgelandNick Evers - Flower MoundRBJamarion Miller - Tyler LegacyHymond Drinkard - George RanchDamien Brown - LeonardOLCory Hendrix - College StationJihad Lateef - Lubbock EstacadoEthan Sanders - San Antonio ChristianNeto Umeozulu - AllenSheridan Wilson - ArgyleCaden Kitler - Plano John Paul IIErik Gray - AmarilloTETrent McGaughey - Shadow CreekHouston Thomas - College StationCody Mladenka - The Woodlands College ParkOmari Murdock - AllenWRRandy Masters - Shadow CreekJeremy Patton - TenahaKeith Wheeler II - AtascocitaAnthony Black - CoppellDTTre Emory - Mt PleasantKris Ross - North ShoreDETai Leonard - CyFallsDeMone Green - Houston HeightsCurlee Thomas - Fort Worth Nolan CatholicLBTy Kana - KatyJustin Medlock - ManvelOwen Pewee - CyParkNic Caraway - BryanBralon Jones - SpringJordan Crook - DuncanvilleTrevell Johnson - Arlington MartinTyrell Johnson - Arlington MartinCB Eric Hemphill III - BrenhamChandler Rivers - Beaumont UnitedDorian Friend - SpringJalon Peoples - Cedar HillSJacobe Chester - Ft Bend MarshallJaidan Scott - Shadow CreekDylan Dixson - PearlandSherrod Covil Jr. - North ShoreCollin Wright - ManvelKCarter Brown - Pearland Dawson
Miscellaneous Monday recruiting notes
Just some quick hitters surrounding prospects in 2021, 2022, and 2023. - It should come as no surprise, but based on some intel I received over the weekend, I feel comfortable saying Malick Sylla and Ernest Cooper IV are likely the top two on the A&M big board at defensive end in 2022. Depending on how 2021 shakes out, A&M may cap their 2022 group at just two. I'd also keep an eye on Enai White from Philadelphia (PA). You never count out Elijah Robinson in that region, and you'd increase the Ags' chances if they are able to close out on his teammate, Taleeq Robbins.- Duncanville OL Savion Byrd visited LSU this past weekend along with about a dozen other recruits. From what Jason and I heard, it sounds like the Tigers have taken the lead now on the other side of the visit. However, I was told that Byrd and A&M have not been in as regular communication in recent weeks as they were earlier in the summer. This one is trending to Baton Rouge. - Similarly, I have been told by a couple of sources that the lines of communication had slowed with 2022 PA Memorial CB Jaylon Guilbeau prior to his top schools announcement this week. I continue to hear that a school not on that list of 5 is the leader, but I wouldn't totally count out LSU just yet. - We mentioned in the In-Home Visit that there could be an in-state offensive line name that grabs an A&M offer with some strong senior tape early on this fall. As 5A and 6A schools kick off practice today, here are a few guys I'll be keeping an eye on in terms of interest from Josh Henson and company...2021Erick Cade - Denton Braswell (already offered, could see interest regenerating)Remington Strickland - Ft Bend ChristianCole Carson - Bogota Rivercrest (Arkansas commit) Connor Heffernan - Georgetown (Baylor commit)Jack Tucker - Argyle (Texas Tech commit)Jack Leyrer - Highland ParkCanon Boone - Dickinson (Virgina Tech commit)2022Neto Umeozulu - AllenCory Hendrix - College StationErik Gray - AmarilloJihad Lateef - Lubbock Estacado- Lastly, there's a pair of 2023's in the Bryan-College Station area that are starting to make some noise in terms of being prospects to watch down the road. The first is ATH Bryson Washington from Franklin. He does a little bit of everything for the Lions, but I think he projects at safety early on in his HS career. He's 6-1, 180 already and has received a ton of praise from folks on staff there as well as opposing coaches. I'm thinking I'll get out to see him in person soon. The other name to know has some real strong ties to the A&M program. Caldwell OL/DL Delvin Morris is the younger brother of A&M DB Devin Morris, but the two are not built anything alike. The younger Morris already dwarfs the older one as Delvin stands just under 6-4 and weighs in at 280 pounds. In the little video I've seen, he's pretty mobile for a prospect of his age and his size.

TexAgs Recruiting Fantasy Draft: 2021 Offensive Players in Texas

Some DFW stuff
Texas A&M is doing some work in DFW with the commitment of Eli Stowers and keeping themselves in the running for several others like Deuce Harmon, Dametrious Crownover, Armani Winfield, Shemar Turner, Keithian Alexander just to name a few. Here are a few notes on a few more guys you may want to put on the radar.* South Oak Cliff LB/ATH Jaydon Williams visited College Station over the weekend. At 6-2, 200, his quick twitch made him a force off the edge at SOC. He has also been putting in work with True Buzz on the 7-on-7 circuit and you can see he's more than just an edge threat.https://twitter.com/MrJDavis96/status/1237419533419372544?s=20* A few more names I've been hearing on the A&M radar include Argyle OL Jack Tucker, DeSoto DT Byron Murphy II, and McKinney DE/DL Jonathan Jones. * Tucker is a big-framed, flexible tackle who has been a pretty hot prospect with recent offers coming from Auburn and USC. He earned OL MVP at the Next Level Athlete Camp in Dallas in January.* Murphy continues to be my favorite pure 3-tech in the state. The size has kept some big programs away, but eventually I see his athleticism winning them over. He was incredibly productive in 2019 with 98 tackles, 12 TFLs, 5.5 sacks, 6 QB hurries, 3 FR, and 4 FF.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10945691/5dcaa90d9676d40d98d6cf78* Jonathan Jones is football/basketball guy at 6-4, 230. His biggest offers right now are Arizona State and Texas Tech, but Oklahoma State has been taking a long look and he recently visited OU. If you're looking for a few under the radar DEs check out Mansfield Timberview 2021 duo Terrell Tilmon and Raam Stevenson. These guys both bring some intriguing size at around 6-4, 200 with some length on their frames. The P5s are taking notice.* If you're looking for a rising star in the metroplex, look no further than Frisco Liberty 2022 WR Evan Stewart. Already this spring he has posted a 21.08 200m, 10.7 100m, a 47-9 triple jump, and a 24-6 long jump. He also did some pretty solid work in the fall with 43 receptions for 757 yards and 7 TDs. He only has offers from Baylor, Kansas, Hawaii, North Texas, and William and Mary. It's safe to say his list will be growing. He's visiting LSU this weekend.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10161731/5df170d63452a90fb4c2e077* It has been a good long while since the Garland Owls were producing top prospects, but it looks like the 2022 class is going to change that. RB Jayshon Powers, WR Jordan Hudson, and S Chace Biddle are turning heads early in the game, and there are a few more to keep an eye on as well.* Duncanville is incredibly loaded and it will remain that way for the foreseeable future. Not just in the 2021s with several guys receiving major attention, but the 2022 class is ridiculous too. Just look in the trenches: DE Omari Abor (6-4, 240), OL Cameron Williams (6-4, 330), OL Jaylen Early (6-4, 260), TE Marcus Vinson (6-4, 215). All of them already have P5 offers. Then there is 2023 QB Chris Parson who stepped in for an injured Ja'Quinden Jackson to start the state championship game and just picked up an offer from Iowa.
