He did some drills on Wednesday and was very impressive. There was quite a bit of Arkansas momentum coming off his OV, but it is safe to say his Aggie stock is as high as ever. Based on intel we have Broughton is one of three in-state DL targets along with Alfred Collins and Princely Umanmielen. The Aggies will receive his final official visit. -DeSoto 2021 DE Shemar Turner put the Aggies in his top three after receiving his offer. He's still taking his time with the process, but the Aggies made a big impression.-Kenneth Phillips called the Aggies a dream school after receiving his offer and I have to say it looks very promising for the Aggies. He will return soon for an official visit. He is close friends with Texas A&M signee Erick Young as well was a teammate with Pro Process Academy and Fort Bend Bush.-New Caney 2021 LB Derrick Harris said Texas A&M was a school "I always wanted to go to since I was little." after receiving his offer.-Demond Demas is locked in, and he was doing some recruiting. The same with Jaylon Jones and I'm sure Bankhead was as well. After camp on Thursday Demas spent a lot time time playing catch with Quinn Ewers which I thought was a promising note. Notes from Wednesday's Jimbo Fisher Camp
High school prospects from across the state made their way to College Station today for the first session of the Jimbo Fisher Camp.Cy Ridge defensive lineman Vernon Broughton was one of the top prospects in attendance. Fresh off his official visit to Arkansas he made his way to College Station and he will take an official visit to LSU this weekend. He said Texas A&M will receive his final official visit.Portales (NM) defensive lineman Philip Blidi showed very well. This was the first time I have seen him in person and he checked several boxes. Very well put together, and has a powerful base. Very quick off the ball and a strong punch. He currently holds offers from Tulsa, SMU, UTEP, and some others but he has P5 ability. I only saw him lose one rep and that was to 2022 stud Kameron Dewberry.https://twitter.com/R_Brauninger/status/1136390979026636801https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/1136408916114509830Speaking of Kameron Dewberry he definitely looked the part too. It is easy to see why he is so highly regarded. He is low coming off the ball and he is quick to shoot his arms out there and use that wingspan of his to his advantage. New Caney 2021 LB Derrick Harris Jr was particularly impressive. He had two INTs in one-on-ones and I love his speed off the edge. He has been tearing it up on the summer camp circuit so far. Mineola 2021 LB Trevion Sneed also had a strong showing. One thing is for sure about him, he goes 100-percent every rep. I also liked what I saw from 2020 Arlington Martin LB Ed Jones. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
