A few Monday recruiting notes
In case you missed it, Miami (FL) DE Donell Harris committed to A&M this morning. It was a great way to kickoff the week and it cannot be said enough how big of a get this one was. He brings some serious quick twitch off the edge and gives the Aggies another big time Florida addition. I do look for other schools to continue to work on him until he signs, but that's what happens when you recruit these studs. Good news is he has a great relationship with several current commitments, the Aggies still have an OV in the bag, and coach Price and Ish Aristide have a strong bond there. Now for a few more notes. I talked to source close to EJ Smith's recruitment and I was told the Aggies are definitely high on the list. It sounds like Ohio State is now on the outside of this one, and based on what I was told I would say Stanford and Texas A&M are the two to watch right now. He is being recruited by the Aggies as a versatile threat who can play RB and WR. Fort Collins (CO) Fossil Ridge 2021 OL Trey Zuhn continues to talk to coach Henson a couple of times a week and he plans to be in College Station during the Holiday season to see family. He visited A&M for the Auburn game and he also visited Oklahoma this fall. His only other visit this fall will be to Ohio State for the Penn State game in two weeks. Texas A&M remains one of his top schools and it looks like Oklahoma and Ohio State are the main competition right now. Ryan has been all over the Demond Demas stuff since his visit to OU this weekend and Demas had a great tweet about returning to Aggieland this weekend. So, I don't think there's anything to worry about there, but I did check with some sources in Oklahoma just to make sure. I was told the Sooners don't think they changed anything.

Donell Harris - what I'm hearing
Miami (FL) DE Donell Harris took a trip to visit the University of Florida this weekend. He arrived on Friday evening and stayed through Saturday afternoon. He did not stay in Gainesville last night as some speculated.Trying to peg the exact direction this recruitment is going to go has been a difficult task, but from what I know, it sounds like Donell will be sticking to his announced decision date of November 11th (tomorrow). I also still feel good A&M's chances to land his commitment. Now, I was told that Donell recently took his standardized testing which was one of the stipulations that was preventing him from taking official visits since his re-classification. Regardless of who he picks tomorrow, I'm thinking both A&M and Florida will get OV's. LSU may get one, as well, but the Tigers are fast running out of room and look like they'll have to cut some committed kids loose. Long story short, this one is going to come down to NSD in December.

A pair of Saturday quick hitters
- Miami (FL) DE Donell Harris did show up in Gainesville. He actually arrived last night. Hopefully, I'll have some post visit notes ahead of his expected decision on Monday. - Checked with as many sources as I could last night about Demond Demas and his trip to Oklahoma. As I said yesterday, it's obviously not optimal, but everyone I spoke with confident that A&M would hang on to him. He's been rock solid for so long and values his relationships in College Station. Up to this point, he's not even flinched save for a few very early trips to Austin. Therefore, it's not like the Scooby Carter or Christian Harris recruitments from last year where we knew Alabama was going to be a threat if they ever went all in.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2
