A few Friday quick hitters
- Been hearing a few more murmurs of A&M's involvement with Bainbridge (GA) CB Deyon Bouie. The talented cover man is committed to the in-state Bulldogs, but I do think there's a decent chance the Aggies are able to get him on campus either in June or sometime this fall. Long ways to go here, but it's still worth noting. - As Jason said in his 'My Three Things' piece this morning, the offer for Tyler Legacy RB Jamarion Miller isn't something that sprung up out of thin air. This is a kid that Jimbo Fisher, Tommie Robinson, and Marshall Malchow have been tracking for a while now. While they haven't been able to get their eyes on him in person, some sources in east Texas have indicated that the A&M staff have definitely been getting updated intel and videos on Miller as the spring has progressed. I'll be interested to see if he turns up on campus for camp next month. - I spoke briefly with recent offer Andre Thompson out of Manvel. Thompson is the second 2024 in-state prospect to be offered by the Aggies. This kid a nightmare for defenses in the open field. He's small, but he possesses incredible quicks and has some of the best start/stop ability of any young prospect I've seen. He told me he'll be in College Station on June 10th then had this to say about the offer:"I don't know too much about the A&M culture, but I'm looking forward to getting to know the Aggie way. I'm excited to get to know Coach Craig and see the way he coaches."- I've heard LSU has picked up momentum with Lake Charles (LA) RB TreVonte Citizen. Jason got an update a few weeks back that indicated many folks thought Citizen would be headed out of state. That could certainly hold true, but my contacts in Louisiana seemed to think a recent Tiger push could see that recruitment fall the way of Ed Orgeron and company. We'll keep monitoring that one.

Big time playmaker set to visit A&M
I have confirmed with sources close to Lake Charles (LA) Lake Charles College Prep running back TreVonte Citizen is set to take an official visit to College Station in June. I am also told Arkansas and Texas are set to receive official visits. I don't have dates yet, but I am told he will take those three visits. My sources told me there is a high probability Citizen plays his college ball outside the state of Louisiana, and right now Arkansas seems to be the current favorite because of his relationship with their staff. In addition to the Aggies, Longhorns, and Razorbacks, I am told USC is coming on strong and the Trojans are likely to receive a visit. I would also keep an eye on LSU even if it appears unlikely at this time. You can never count them out for Louisiana prospects. Citizen currently checks in at 6-foot, 220. His highlights are below.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10907138/5fd8290a96760c0b6c3d5d3a

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
