A few March 24 recruiting notes
Brauny mentioned Winter Garden (FL) Foundation Academy LB Danny Stutsman as a guy to watch a few weeks ago, and last night he received an offer from the Aggies. At 6-3, 215-pounds he is thumper with sideline-to-sideline ability. He recorded 110 tackles, 19 TFLs, and 3 sacks last fall. He also comes from a family of athletes. His dad, Steve Stutsman, is the OL coach at Foundation Academy, was a Parade All-American tight end out of Daingerfield (TX) and played at Baylor. His mom, Susy, was a basketball player at Baylor. His older sister is currently a softball player at Florida State. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/4339318/5db880a74797ce0d10aceb7aSpeaking of linebackers, Arlington Martin LB Morice Blackwell is another DFW prospect I have been hearing the Aggies are keeping an eye on. He checks in at about 6-1, 200, he has been a tackling machine and a defensive leader for the Martin Warriors. He's a Buddy Johnson type linebacker. Right now, he's a little light in the seat, but he has a nice frame and a growing offer list. He currently counts Baylor, Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Texas Tech among his early offers. He was district defensive newcomer as a sophomore and last year he earned district MVP honors.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10147294/5d7f90770660c21278238d21Staying in the DFW-area, the Aggies offered Flower Mound Marcus QB Garrett Nussmeier last week. Coach Coley has a relationship which goes back to his days at Georgia, and coach Dickey has made a positive impression. Yesterday, he was able to speak with coach Fisher for the first time and I was told they had a great meeting and hit it off well. When we spoke to him last week, he was not sure whether or not he would stick with his April 18 commitment plans. The coronavirus has thrown things up in the air. He also did not name leaders, but there has been much speculation and talk of LSU leading the way and there are a few reasons. They were the first to offer and he has a longstanding relationship with Coach O, he has taken multiple visits, the new passing game coordinator Scott Linehan was his dad's OC at Idaho and coached with him the last few years with the Cowboys. If he pushes things back look for him to take a few visits as soon as he can. Last week, he talked about trying to visit Texas A&M, Arizona State, Texas, and Miami.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)
