A few Saturday evening notes
The Aggies are hosting a few Louisiana standouts over the next few days. Baton Rouge Madison Prep S Major Burns is part of that group and he has been active on social media since his arrival. He is in town with his family and the word I am hearing is the visit is going very, very well right now. I would not call it a slam dunk that he makes any decisions before leaving town, but whatever happens it looks like the Aggies are putting themselves in a very strong position in this recruitment. Other Louisiana standouts already in town include Baton Rouge University Lab DT and LSU commit Jaquelin Roy, Madison Prep S Joel Williams, and Southern Lab 2021 WR Theodore Knox. I haven't heard as much about the trip for these guys but it sounds like everyone is enjoying themselves.I was out watching some top prospects at a Pylon 7v7 event today and I have a few thoughts for you there too.-Dallas Skyline 2021 WR Quaydarius Davis is one bad dude. I have seen him at a few events now and he leaps out of the crowd. He is going to be a top national recruit and one of the best in the state. He is currently committed to SMU, but I don't think that sticks. He will be in College Station tomorrow for Junior Day. Davis was named offensive MVP after pool play and he was the most explosive playmaker I saw on the field all day.-Davis may have been the best prospect, but Fort Bend Travis 2020 WR Parker Washington was the guy who did the most damage. Using his quickness, precise route running, and sure hands he sliced up defenses throughout the day and proved to be the most unguardable receiver out there. -Lufkin 2020 Ja'lynn Polk also had a very good day. He is long and smooth and made plays all over the field.-Weatherford 2020 QB Ken Seals continues to shine bright. He makes great decisions, he has a quick release, and he puts the ball on the money. He led TrueBuzz to the championship of today's event and TrueBuzz was without several of their top players because of college recruiting events.-A few more guys who caught the eye Dwight McGlothern, Cedrick Pellum, Lorando Johnson. All three will be in College Station tomorrow.-Team Grind is going to be one to watch. They had a younger team out there that hung with the big boys and I got to know a little bit about a few new top 2022s. Mesquite High has a promising future with 6-4, 200-pound WR Darryl Richardson and 6-4, 200-pound LB Maleeyon Winfield. Lancaster has another big, athletic receiver coming down the pipe in Phaizon Wilson (6-4, 200), and Dallas Skyline RB/ATH Qualon Farrar (5-6, 170) looks like a Velton Gardner starter kit. Farrar is the little brother of Oklahoma State signee Kamryn Farrar and he already holds an offer from Kansas.
