Late Thursday night recruiting quick hitters
- Texas landed 2023 El Campo RB Rueben Owens. We'll see what happens for the next 22-24 months, but A&M isn't going anywhere. Owens likes what the Aggies have established on the ground under Jimbo Fisher and is very much aware of the type of offensive line he'd be running behind in College Station.- The Aggie head man and defensive staff had a productive Zoom with Beaumont West Brook S Bryce Anderson tonight. From what I was told, the discussion mainly revolved around Anderson's fit and role in Mike Elko's defense. I should have more on this one at some point this weekend. - Coach Fisher also spoke with Atascocita OL Kam Dewberry today. This is a weird and somewhat finicky time of the recruiting calendar, but I don't think Kam is in too big of a hurry to make a decision. I'm going to make an effort to get him on the line this weekend, as well. - I went up to Bremond yesterday to meet 6-4, 278 pound defensive lineman Jaray Bledsoe. They weren't doing a lot of moving around during their athletic period while I was there. They were actually getting their height/weight and then began maxing out on squat and bench as they get ready to get into their off-season lifts. Bledsoe just came off the basketball floor last week, and he had only been in the weight room once a week throughout his time on the hardwood. Still, he was impressive in terms of his flexibility and explosion. This kid is supremely gifted. In terms of his recruitment, he told me he speaks with Elijah Robinson 4-5 times a week and that he recently got to FaceTime with Jimbo Fisher. Bledsoe is a super quiet kid, and even the staff at Bremond said he's kept things real close to the vest as far as who is leading the pack for his commitment. Jaray told me he's not in any hurry to make a decision, either. As of now, he's looking at a late summer or fall announcement.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)
