Over the last few weeks I have made several high school visits around the DFW area to check out some top targets so lets drop some notes-Lancaster's receiving corp is as strong as any I have seen in the state. They have size, talent, and quickness throughout the lineup. Look for big things from 2019 Chris Green, 2020s Latrell Caples and Ladarius Fair, and 2021s Ketron Jackson and Majik Rector.https://twitter.com/Jason_Howell/status/997177143267381248-Put Chris Green down as a super sleeper. At 6-3, 180 pounds, he passes the eyeball test with no problem and he has a 4.0 GPA. Indiana is his only offer but Arizona State, Vanderbilt, and Minnesota appear to be close to pulling the trigger. I could see this guy blowing up on the summer camp circuit.-A&M has not offered any Tigers yet, but there are a few guys on the radar. 2020 CB Lorando Johnson and 2021 WR Ketron Jackson both plan to visit A&M in early June. 2021 WR Majik Rector has already visited and when I showed up to the school he was in A&M gear. 2020 WR LaTrell Caples (6-0, 175) is another who has expressed a high interest in A&M. Caples already holds offers from Ole Miss, Illinois, Syracuse, and Boston College. -Ketron Jackson is a guy I mentioned last spring after he clocked a 10.6 100m as an eighth grader. Now he stands in at 6-1, 175 and he was a standout on the track (long jump, high jump, sprint relays) and on the basketball court. He currently holds offers from Baylor, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, and Indiana.-2021 OL continues to see new prospects emerge and Lancaster has a couple to watch. I did not get to see 6-5, 280-pound Joseph Amos, because he was out with a broken hand. He returned this week and it looks like he will start at right tackle in the fall. 6-4, 250-pound Javirea Moore is another to watch. He has a big frame and once the strength comes along he has the potential to shoot up the radars of college coaches.-Down the road in Cedar Hill I saw one of the most electric guys I saw this spring. 2020 Quin Bright worked at both running back and slot receiver during Cedar Hill's spring game. He definitely brings the speed to the table. He showed that as a member of Cedar Hill's state qualifying 4x1 and 4x2 relay teams. During the game he was the Horns most consistent offense. He hit holes, and he shook up defenders. His quickness makes him an instant mismatch and I look for Cedar Hill to get him the ball in a variety of ways next fall.-One guy I did not get to see work was 2020 OL Courtland Ford. He did not go through contact drills this spring, and he missed most of 2017 after undergoing corrective surgery. He has been working with trainers and coaches throughout the spring and he has shown the flexibility and footwork to go along with his size. He did visit Texas A&M in the spring and the recruiting process has taken off during the evaluation period.https://twitter.com/BigClint37/status/981906823157600256-Out in East Texas I saw one of the more intriguing prospects I've seen this spring. Tyler Lee ATH Jamal Ligon earned all-district honors at LB and FB, and at 6-3, 245 he is a unique type of player. This is a guy I could see turning into quite the athletic defensive tackle if he continues to grow. He already holds an offer from Texas State, and I look for that list to continue to grow.-A guy I cannot wait to find out more about is Tyler Lee 2021 DL Garfield Lawrence. He has some very intriguing length at 6-3 and 250 pounds. I didn't get to see him put in work on the football field, but I was told he turned several heads with his performance throughout the spring and during the spring game. Right now he looks like a DE but it is also easy to project him to more of an interior spot in the future. Put him down on the watch list for now.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10172242/5afaec02a6768c12b0a25906-I have seen Mesquite 2021 LB Kendrick Blackshire before, but shaking his hand is a different story all together. He has a monster grip and about crushed my hand. No, he wasn't trying to either, he just has a firm handshake and big hands. -Mesquite Horn is one of my favorite stops. I love their athletes. There always seems to be a grit to them. Quarterback Jermaine Givens (6-0, 190) embodies that. He is a strong minded, intelligent, athletic ball player who is also working at receiver and defensive back this spring just so he can show college coaches he is willing and able. He has yet to receive an offer, but this guy is going to be an absolute steal for someone. I expect to see him turn some heads on the summer camp circuit and start seeing those offers roll in. Running back Esaias Taylor is another. The 5-10, 205-pound back has a stout build and he is a tough runner. -Horn's 2020 class has a couple more to keep an eye on. Wide receiver Donovan Payne stands out at 6-5, 195 pounds, and offensive lineman Ar'Maj Adams-Reed (6-4, 280) catches the eye even if he is not in pads. Adams-Reed was out with an injury when I stopped by practice.
