Notes from Texas A&M Camp
Brauny will likely add a few more notes, but here's a few I got-The DB group was absolutely stacked. Not only were key targets Bobby Wolfe and Erick Young there to put on a show, but so was Amite (LA) standout Devonta Lee. Lee worked exclusively at DB while he was in town and that is a lot of size at DB. -Wolfe had an especially strong day today. His length came in handy today and he was able to turn and go with any receiver in one-on-ones. Wolfe pretty much has his choices narrowed down to Arkansas and Texas A&M. - In the underclassmen 2020 CB Donald Warnell caught my eye. He passes the eyeball test with his size and then he had a few nice break-ups on the afternoon. We have him as a top 50 guy and he showed he was worthy of it today. -2021 OL Donovan Jackson was one of my favorite OLs of the day. His footwork was on point and he gets his hands right on the breastplate of his opponent. I don't think I saw him lose a one-on-one rep all day and I don't think I was the only one who liked what I saw. -Speaking of 2021, Richmond Foster OL Reuben Fatheree is one giant dude and he does not have much bad weight. The Aggies offered early and while he was here this time he was able to be around the basketball guys. He already looks the part but you can tell there is so much room for growth. It is easy to see why he's regarded as one of the state's finest. -I liked what I saw from Weatherford 2020 QB Ken Seals. The ball jumped off his hand and he spun it well. He has been flying all over the country. After visiting USC yesterday, he made his way to A&M today in a small plane before they flew back. I liked what I saw. He received offers from FAU, NC State, and Cincinnati after a camp in Georgia last week, so he's starting to see things pick up last week. -We caught up with Dallas Carter 2020 DT Branard Wright and the Aggies are a team to keep an eye on but he's taking his time right now. A&M DT coach Elijah Robinson has a relationship with him that goes back to when coach Robinson was at Baylor and he made a good impression. Look for Wright to take a few visits and attend a few camps this summer, but it is worth noting that he does have some A&M ties with his cousin Devodrick Johnson in College Station.-Oak Grove (LA) DT Kenean Caldwell had some nice moments. He has some strength to him and he showed a nice first step on the interior. -Richmond Foster 2019 DT Robert Harbor (5-11, 275) was as fun to watch as anyone out there. He's on the short side but he was very active and a tough match-up for even the best o-linemen. He will be a solid pick up for someone. -New Orleans (LA) McDonogh 35 CB Austin Jones also had a good day. He was in the hip pocket of WRs all day. At 5-9 he fights the "too small" battle but he already holds offers from the likes of Southern Miss and Tulane. His cover ability showed why today.-Katy Morton Ranch 2020 WR Josh Gaton (5-10, 175) was another who caught my attention. He's a slot guy and he was very smooth on the day. He is quick and he adjusts well to the ball.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
