A few Wednesday lunch time recruiting notes
- I'm expecting DE signee Fadil Diggs to arrive on campus tomorrow according to an east coast source. He's the last of the early enrollees to arrive. - 2022 Katy DB and A&M offer Bobby Taylor will be visiting campus this weekend after playing in a 7 on 7 in College Station on Saturday and Sunday.- Junior Day events for both Texas and Oklahoma are scheduled for this upcoming weekend. A&M will host theirs later in February. - Spoke to a Houston source about 2021 Richmond Foster OL Reuben Fatheree. I had heard that folks in the area felt like A&M and Baylor had a stranglehold on the 6-8 junior's recruitment heading into the new year. However, the pendulum has swung back toward the Aggies with Matt Rhule's move to the NFL. I plan on catching up with Deuce soon to see what kind of timeline he's on. - Keep an eye on 2021 Dallas Skyline ATH Isaiah Nwokobia. Jason has mentioned him a few times before, but I had a source tell me the Aggies are intrigued about his prospects as a safety. - I've reached out to some folks close to 2021 Virginia Beach (VA) CB Tony Grimes. I've been told by a couple of sources that his March official visit to Texas A&M remains on the schedule despite Mo Linguist's departure, but I want to get that confirmed directly with Grimes' inner circle. I've also heard 2020 signee Jaylon Jones has formed a nice bond with Tony, and the two communicate pretty regularly.

Never too soon: Previewing the 2020 A&M squad position-by-position
The Aggies had a productive campaign in 2019, capping off the season with a big bowl victory over Oklahoma State. But with an infusion of new talent coming into the program, Texas A&M looks to be even better next season.

A few Friday quick hitters
Let's see if I can keep these to bullet point style updates...- Checked around on Zach Evans. Still thinking he ends up at UGA. If it's a qualification issue, it sounds like Georgia will see it through to June and take the chance. - Demond Demas will play his first sanctioned contest (basketball game) for Tomball HS on Jan 14th. - Ft Bend Marshall track will be in College Station for their first meet of the year, but Devon Achane will not run. He's resting his legs after football season and will begin his track season 2-3 meets later. - I wouldn't look for much movement out of the 2021 class until the Super Bowl junior day event. - 12 members of the 2020 class move in next week. https://twitter.com/r_brauninger/status/1213146805929689088?s=21- Some roommate assignments I've been able to gather are: Devin Price & Jordan Jefferson Jaylon Jones & Muhsin Muhammad III Chris Morris & Josh Bankhead Haynes King & Blake Smith Fadil Diggs & Isaiah Raikes Antonio Johnson & Joshuah Moten - Nothing new, as of now, to report on Javonne Shepherd. Things still in a holding pattern academically.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

TexAgs Rating

The TexAgs Recruiting team of Billy Liucci, David Sandhop, Jason Howell, Ryan Brauninger and a host of recruiting interns attends more than 75 games each fall and observes and evaluates every major Texas A&M target, as well as most of the top 150 prospects in the State of Texas. From this evaluation the team draws a rating for each prospect on a scale between 70 and 100.

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
