Geirean Hatchett - Sophomore Season

Updates

1 yr ago by Ryan Brauninger
A pair of Saturday OL notes
Houston North Forest OL Javonne Shepherd did make it in for a quick unofficial yesterday evening. Pretty significant to get him on campus on the heels of his Bama trip and before he heads to Austin. A month ago, I'd have called the Aggies the clear leader. Today, I'd say they still maintain a slight edge, but it's much more of a fight that it has been. Also, Ferndale (WA) OL Geirean Hatchett will be in College Station on Monday. The 6-5, 280 pounder holds offers from much of the West Coast as well as Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

More Monday recruiting notes - Tuesday Update
Tuesday Update: I can confirm that Arjei Henderson will not take his official visit to Texas A&M this weekend. They plan to reschedule at a later date***********Allen WR Theo Wease was planning to take his official visit to Texas A&M this weekend, but he is rescheduling it until the fall. He will take his official visit to Oklahoma the weekend of April 13 and LSU the weekend of April 20. He also has an official visit scheduled for USC the weekend of June 22. If he can, he will try to take an unofficial visit to College Station this spring. Wease released a top five of Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and USC on Sunday. Wease and Arjei Henderson were originally scheduled for this weekend and the two are close. We are checking to see whether or not this impacts Henderson's visit plans. On the OOS side of things, the Aggies will receive a late April visit from Ferndale (WA) 2020 OL Geirean Hatchett. He plans to visit Aggieland on Monday, April 23. Hatchett has recently added offers from Stanford and Notre Dame, and is regarded as one of the top OLs in 2020. He does have a family connection to the state of Texas and two of his dad's cousins went to A&M.

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
