Around the SEC: Recruiting news and trends
It's time to take a look around at the biggest pick-ups on the recruiting front as well as some of the top recruiting news and notes from around the SEC. Jason Howell details just that and more in this week's Around the SEC.
A couple (OF BRAUNY...OF...;A couple OF LB'!!!) LB notes
As many have seen, Nashville (TN) LB Kane Patterson tweeted that he'll announce his decision tomorrow. From what I've been told, Patterson has called some of his final schools that he will not be picking and thanked them for their time and efforts. Texas A&M was among that group of schools. Obviously, this was a kid A&M wanted to land, but the Aggies are still very much in the thick of things with Christian Harris and Nakobe Dean. More and more people are expecting Harris to eventually choose the Aggies. I still think Dean is Bama or Stanford bound, but a source close to him has said he'll visit A&M this fall. I mentioned Tristan Sinclair as another name to watch out in California. Atlanta based LB Nick Jackson remains in the mix. He visited over the summer. Really smart kid. Here are a few more names I believe will get some looks should A&M have to go in that direction:Savanna (GA) LB Kalen DeLoach Independence (KS) CC LB Kuony Deng Dodge City (KS) CC LB Lakia Henry Odessa Permian LB Matt Jones (Baylor commit)
Around the SEC: The latest recruiting news from the Southeast Conference
The pursuit of 2019 prospects keeps heating up, and recruits continue to receive offers, go on visits and announce commitments. Jason Howell breaks down the latest developments from around the SEC.
A couple of key targets making visit plans
Ferndale (WA) 2020 OL Geirean Hatchett is trying to schedule a visit to A&M. It looks like something could happen in April, but the lefty is trying to work something around his baseball schedule. He is a pitcher and 1B.Dodge City CC LB Lakia Henry tells me he is looking to visit Texas A&M in June
