You could've had this dude with picks 25-30. Why not trade?

He's a plug & play starter day 1 for Dallas. That's why you don't trade down. Just lock him up and be done with it. Team captain and violent at bama. Big time player.

WR 2nd round, RB 3rd round???
I wanna see our defense pissed off, not confused, maybe a little murder in their hearts

This is a plug and play starter. This is not a bad pick.
Cowboys first-rounder Tyler Booker allowed only one sack across 970 pass-blocking snaps in college.
— Ed Werder (@WerderEdNFL) April 25, 2025
During 2024 season, only had 6 blown blocks on 740 blocking plays – his blown block percentage of 0.8% was the 2nd-lowest in the SEC.
A small uptick in penalties this past season…

I would've liked a small flip with the colts so they can take warren and we still could've gotten Booker....but it takes two to tango.

How? When those studs were in their prime is when they had Murray and they drafted zeke. Run game was awesome. Issue now is those dudes are gone and we don't have those studs in the oline now. Back when the run game was elite we had the line first, then added the stud rb. You can't do it in reverse

Houston was trying to trade with us. Glad we didn't sell for cheap
The Cowboys waited until the very last second to turn the card in for Booker waiting on the phone to ring.

The Houston Texans called late, but the two sides weren’t close.
Dallas takes Booker. https://t.co/jV9gxuiEvA

Now that we've gone OL (which I have no problem with) and will likely miss out on all of the elite WRs, how would the board feel about bringing back Amari Cooper on a short-term deal to fill the WR2 spot?

No. I think we ignore WR at this point. I think we would have gone T Mac if he was there.
I think we are 100% locked into RB now. If our 2nd rounders are gone before we pick, we'll pivot to CB or BPA.

Dallas needs playmakers…game changers…difference makers…
OL is not their most glaring need…with the #12 pick, you should be trying to address your most glaring need…a RB or a WR that takes pressure away from Lamb…or you look at a stud CB…

What good did taking anybody in the last 30 years done? That's a really weak argument. We took a position of real need. We tried to trade back and got nothing. I'll take an all-pro OL every draft if I can. You win in the trenches.FireAg said:TyHolden said:And they were all-pro....why wouldn't you want that?FireAg said:TyHolden said:name some thenFireAg said:HummingbirdSaltalamacchia said:

Fair opinion, but your point of wasting OL careers still makes no sense. Is Dallas not supposed to draft all pros when they're there to take?

Drafting for need, especially in the first round, is a losing strategy.

Im ok with the pick. At least it's not a Michigan DLman.
But why does the Jones family insist on making sure the cameras catch them being over the top excited as if they've pulled off the greatest draft steal of all time every single year??!

Zero chance of RB? Schotty said from Day 1 he wants to run the football. Booker and a 2nd round RB makes perfect sense to me.
