looks like ManU might not start their best again.

quote:

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he will send a weakend team to face Arsenal in the Community Shield on August 8, if they get a Tuesday date for their Champions League qualifier.

'The key game really is what kind of team I have got to play against Arsenal,' the United boss said.

'It depends on whether we get a Tuesday or a Wednesday game in the Champions League. That will be crucial.

'If it is a Tuesday game, I would certainly not play a lot of the first team players in the Arsenal game.

Can't say that I blame him...but we might just have to wait a little longer to see ManU's best starting side...which is fine since i'm a Gunner's fan.

That is what he gets for finishing 3rd instead of second.

Man U is starting to feel the strain of not being able to spray more money at people than the other teams. I hope they rise to the occassion.

I met some of the Man U players when I was in Chicago for business the other week. I dont keep up with soccer very much anymore, so I didnt recognize any of their names, but it was still pretty cool. Seemed like pretty nice guys.

Even if you did keep up with soccer you probably wouldn't have recognized most of them. The team that was in Chicago had maybe three players that will be on the field Aug 15th against Chelsea.

turned out to be a pretty good match. lots of action. Arsenal getting many more chances and the scoreboard agreed. Reyes played very well and looks like he could be a great asset to the Gunners lineup this season.

I think ManU are in for some trouble. I didn't realize that they had so many injury problems. I knew RVN was out for a while, but when did Saha get hurt? I completely missed that. Now Solskjaer is out for another season. Apparently they now have only two fully fit strikers in Smith and Forlan and a questionable at best backline.

ManU will also be without that Ronaldo kid for a while because he'll be at the olympics.
