I need some new boots. I typically don't like exotics, but after reading this thread, I want to check this place out.

For the dozen of y'all that bought boots from him this spring, are you still as enthusiastic about your purchases now?

Also, do they have much/any stock that isn't exotic?

I just purchased some black bull neck square toes with rubber soles for rodeo...gonna be awesome.

I'm a boot snob and own about 6 pairs from Safari and they are all still doing well

I was there in the spring to order some exotics. I got them within 2-3 weeks. They seemed to have plenty of non-exotics available at the time. I also believe they would gladly make them for you if you wanted something specific that wasn't exotic.

Where is this place, I tried flipping back through the pages to find an address. I'm in the market for a new pair.

I went on Saturday and didn't find anything that I liked that actually fit right.

So he's making me some custom crocs that will be ready in a few weeks. Pretty damn good for $350.

Has anyone had a negative experience at this place?

How have the boots help up this far?

I own 8 pairs and they've all held up

I picked mine up yesterday. Really happy with the way they came out.

I do not own a single pair of boots but I feel like the time is right and this safari sounds like the place to go. Is this a place I can try some on and see about fit or do I need to know all my measurements and what I like when I walk in there (or give him a call). thanks.

And what would everyone recommend for a first pair?

I didn't own a single pair before I went in and he let me try on multiple pairs, in multiple colors and worked to find me a pair that fit great and looked great too. Just go in and talk to him and see what he has would be my best advice.

Just picked up my custom Cayman belly boots from Jesse's in South Houston (near Hobby Airport).

They fit great and I highly recommend.

just go down there and see Matt, he will draw out your foot on paper and send that drawing out to the maker and it will be snug and perfect. Just make sure you wear a pair of white sock before you draw out your foot...

Ive never really had a nice looking pair of boots. I have boots I wear at the ranch and all but never exotic. Where do I even start? I'd like a square toe but don't see any on the website. I am looking for 2 pairs (black and light brown/brown) to wear for work. Any help would be great.

Yes, I picked up some square(-ish), not a heave square you'll find at most stores. Black alligator.

I'm interested in Ostrich boots but have never owned a pair before. What should I be looking for in terms of quality of boot? Seems you could pay a lot for a boot of poor quality if you don't really know what to look for.
