We are in the process of moving right now, everything is a little crazy. I'm trying to get on this evening but that's the best I can do

I don't have a sword to do, but I do need to finish my TLW quest line. I just suck at my k/d so it's rarely worth it for me to even try.

Here's a list of some games I've heard suggested.
No HUD Hide and Seek - start with a single seeker, once he finds someone they join the seeking team.
Battleship - Mayhem Clash with all Voidwalkers. Find an open spot on the map and each team trades nova bombs until only one person is left. If you die, you are allowed to move and you become a "spotter" for your team.
King of the Bubble - Everyone is a Defender titan with armor of light. All bubbles popped in a single spot. Melee-only, last person standing wins.
Any other suggestions?

I stopped playing after TDB, right before the Oryx raid, so I'm a little unsure where to start for this.
Do I need to play all the TTK missions/raids and everything I've missed to get to the current light level for the expansion? Should I use my old characters and stuff, or just create a new one and run through it all to get caught up?

Update Notes
Section 4.0 is post-HoW but pre-TTK
It'd be a tough grind to get all the way up with subclasses and gear leveled. That said, it is possible. I'd stick with your current characters so that you get a decent head start. You can burn through the story very quick but it'll take a few raid runs to get max light level

$30 for Rise of Iron. Pretty steep price point for whats supposedly a short story. However, there are a bunch of new questlines and a new raid as well.
Also there's Destiny: The Complete Collection which includes everything for $60.
