Not sure how long it'll take posters to realize that this isn't the mlb. These are college umps, they aren't great. It's why there is a saying of you need to protect the plate.

As a hitter, you cover the strike zone as it's being called. There's a figure of speech, that all you can ask for is a consistent strike zone, and the pitch just outside to the lefty has been consistently called a strike. It needs to be covered by our hitters.
