2 things need to happen:

1) Get Papelbon off the market before someone else does. There isn't a better reliever available and the Sox need one - desperately! Does anyone still think that Paps was the ONLY player in DC that wanted to choke the **** out of Bryce Harper?

2) Put a muzzle on Farrell. Too late to fire him but sit him down and let him know that we're phoning in all the moves from the big box upstairs. Everything needs to be cleared through Dave D and whatever select group he decides to rely on.

That was the best game of the season!

I was completely prepared to just berate the Sox for blowing yet another low scoring game and then they score 5 in the bottom of the ninth!

I called Hanley's blast in a text to my brother (but who didn't under the circumstances?)!

That loss was a potential season ender for the yanks. They made a good run this season, but it was a run on emotion and hope. Those often end up flat and they ran into a chainsaw last night!

On another note:

3 straight games in Baltimore where less than 50% of the seats were occupied. That is pathetic! The Orioles were playing for 1st place in the AL East. Had the O's swept the Sox - instead of the results thus far - the O's would be in first place going into the playoffs yet they still don't show up...
