Check or arrest record men. Check the number of times we have been on probation. Look up the number of posters on this site that are now saying to start cheating again,

1.) They over pay.
2.) Buyout structure is extremely favorable to him.
3.) NCAA doesn't get involved.
Like it or not, Baylor gets more coverage and has been able to recruit better athletes the last several years. I could see him signing a 3 year deal and bolting after 2 when either Chuckles or Summy hit the bricks. Neither job will be available till after 2017 season anyway.

Ok, hate on others all you want. But Baylor just fired the most successful football coach they have ever had or might probably ever will have. And it was the right thing. This would have blown over. Hell, we are about to elect a president that should be in jail. Just wait out the news cycle and it will go away.

This was a combination of two things. Starr trying to save his own ass and Baylol trying to preempt any NCAA involvement. Sanctions of any substance would kill them.
No one is saying it isn't the right thing to do. They did have done it a long time ago. They covered it up for years and fired him now because they had to.
Baylor is not about to rejoin the bottom of the football standings. They could have circled the wagons. Many programs have and it has helped recruiting.

They wouldn't have done anything if the heat wasn't starting to get turned up on them. Baylor acted just like every other university does during a scandal. They hoped that it would blow over first and then when it didn't they did the only thing that was left to do which was fire the leadership.
They did try to cover it up. They basically forced a girl to transfer after she made rape allegations against a football player.
With most other football scadals the cover ups usually involve the payment of players. This is much worse since they did nothing to protect their own students from rapists. For you to equate the payment of players with rape is absolutely absurd.
My only conclusion is that you are trolling or that you identify strongly as a Baptist and therefore have some sort of affinity for Baylor.

Seriously have thing really gotten so bad that institutions deserve praise for doing the right thing? That's a bare minimum requirement of Being a decent human being.

No, come to find out Joe Paterno knew what was going on for years and did nothing. That is what I am talking about. Baylor could have ridden this out. They chose not to.
I bet they leaked the Ken Starr did a few days ago to see public reaction. After they realized that wasn't enough they decided to do this.
