one reason why national seeds lose a lot in Omaha --- they are not playing with the home field / home crowd advantage anymore.

interesting that the 2 finals participants -- UVA and Vandy -- both had to do work on the road to reach the CWS. Virginia in the regional round. Vandy in the SR
