That's a tiny gaboon viper! That coloration always looks so pretty but reminds me of the gaboon… which I learned about on this thread a year or two ago

That's a pretty good size Rat Snake but I have no idea about age. That's probably a 12fmane or Badace question…

Since I'm not either, the standard response to any "how old is it" question on the OB is 3.5

Water appears fairly clear. Most don't show as much distinction because they are found in muddier environments.

Family and I are heading to Costa Rica next month, doing several rainforest excursions, including a night time one. Hoping to spot some cool snakes. Last time I was there was over 20 years ago, and I saw a Fer De Lance, so I'm hoping for some cool pics to share on this thread.

Man, lotsa rattlers out that way. We dug up an old buried peanut irrigation line (6") out there and must have dumped out 50-60 rattlers over a 2 week period.
