First Edgefest for me, primarily because they finally had bands I wanted to see. Avett Bros was my main draw, and unfortunately (well, fortunately actually) me and a friend booked it from the Mavs game and caught the last 2 songs from Bastille, and got near the stage for the Avett Brothers set. They definitely played their higher paced songs, but I was glad they finished with I and Love and You. Who was the band in between Avett and Beck, Cage the Elephant? Thought they sounded great and put on a good show as well. Didn't make it all the way through Beck, long day and too many beers. Needed a Jake's blue cheese burger so walked across the street for some grub and could still listen to Beck from the patio. Being a Frisco resident the last 10 years, it was interesting to smell all the herb scents in the air.
