Being single and moving at the same time is a nightmare. ****ing IKEA furniture and Trying to hang pictures and scooch furniture around.

First part is false, in my opinion. Moving while single does suck, but you could just pay movers and/or coerce/bribe your friends into helping.

Being single is awesome about 90% of the time. Holidays, travel (for some), and those random days where you're having a pity party suck, but otherwise being single is great.

Really, the best part is answering to no one. And not having to try and keep a woman happy. Keeping a woman happy is like trying to keep an old boat running. A money pit and a lot of work that will never be finished. But at least your boat won't cheat on you if you neglect it for too long, plus you can sell the boat when you tire of it.

Maybe if the person you are with sucks,

And having to pay/coerce/bribe people sucks.

Having someone to go try out that new place with or go see that movie you want to see or whatever adventure you want to have that day is lovely.


I used to be all on board the "I LOVE BEING SINGLE YAY FREEDOM" until I realized that in some relationships, you aren't shackled...you just have a partner in crime.

And someone who can lift heavy things and be handy.

This!!! I miss being a selfish POS. Now I have to worry about someone else's thoughts and feelings before I make a decision. Spontaneity is pretty much gone!

just grab something for lunch the next day as well. And keep ginger ale, Gatorade and meds on hand.

I never answered the OP -

1) Doing whatever it is I want
2) Taking up the whole bed
3) Taking up all of the bathroom sink space

Basically, the best part of being single is getting to be completely selfish. If I could handle getting rid of bugs/any other creepy-crawlies on my own, I'm not sure what I would need a guy for, especially since they apparently enjoy peeing in the sink.
