ESPN reporting with @malikaandrews: Free agent Bruce Brown has agreed on a two-year, $45M deal with the Indiana Pacers, his agents Ty Sullivan and Steven Heumann of @CAASports tell ESPN. Denver — limited in what it could pay — loses a key piece to its repeat hopes.

After all the talk of Brown signing with the lakers, I like this way better.
Free agent guard Jevon Carter has agreed on a three-year, $20 million deal with the Chicago Bulls, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Reggie Brown of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Carter leaves the Bucks to bring Bulls his perimeter toughness. pic.twitter.com/AjqjxN3rKO

Thought he would be a good fit for the bench
Free agent G Tre Jones has agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, his agent Kevin Bradbury of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT tells ESPN.

Glad to have Tre back and at a solid deal.
Being told San Antonio is a team to monitor in the developing three-team sign-and-trade talks that could bring Max Strus to Cleveland. The Cavaliers have been trying to find a trade for Cedi Osman this week, sources said.

This is where things are gonna get interesting with the Spurs this week and beyond. Cap space and maneuverability. They can still take on the salaries for future assets. https://t.co/BGGvbpNmKa

Free agent forward Julian Champagnie is finalizing a new deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2023
Champagnie agrees to a 4-year, $12M deal, agents Nick Blatchford and Derek Jackson of @UNLTD_sports tell ESPN. Final year is a team option. He averaged 11 points ins final 15 games for Spurs.

Didn't expect that, but cool.
The Raptors got nothing for Kawhi Leonard, Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka, Danny Green or Fred VanVleet.
— Sam Quinn (@SamQuinnCBS) July 1, 2023
They turned Kyle Lowry into Precious Achiuwa.
Some of those losses are more excusable than others, but man, the Raptors have gotta keep a more open mind at the deadline.
That's a shame . gif

Masai Ujiri has a reputation as a brilliant front office mind, but man that's brutal.
Free agent forward Oshae Brissett has agreed to a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, his agent Mike George of @OneLegacySports tells ESPN. Player option on the second year.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2023
Brisket to Boston, clearing the way for Williams to SA.
2016, he got Poeltl 9th and Siakam 27th. In 2017, he grabbed OG 23rd.
2021 Scottie Barnes obviously was great.
grabbed Norman Powell in the 2nd round
Got FVV as UDFA
Made Kawhi trade
BUT:
Traded 27yo healthy 20ppg Rudy Gay for Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson
1st rounder on Bruno Caboclo
1st rounder on Malakai Flynn
1st rounder on Delon Wright
Traded Norman Powell for Gary Trent
Traded CoJo for nothing
Traded Lowry for Precious
Traded a 1st round pick for a completely washed ThadYoung
Traded a 1st round pick and 2nd round pick (sidy cissoko) for Poeltl
Gave Chris Boucher a big, stupid contract
He's got some good and some bad. I don't think he is some super genius GM.

Boo. That was a sneaky one I hoped we'd go after.
LA was always bringing him back. They don't have lots of moves.FTAG 2000 said:HummingbirdSaltalamacchia said:

Also why they probably bring back DLo.

I know. Just wish if nothing else we made him more expensive for them.
Desmond Bane, Grizzlies agree to 5-year, $207M max extension https://t.co/rS9nU7Wk9i

My goodness. Everyone gets a max
Just 2 teams left who can offer a free agent more than the non tax MLE ($12.4 million):
— Paul Garcia (@PaulGarciaNBA) July 1, 2023
Spurs $30.8 million in space
Rockets $23.6 million in space
Charlotte and Orlando can get there, but it requires letting key free agents/players go

An amazingly bad deal for Memphis. Good to see some competition committing cap suicide early.
Free agent Max Strus has agreed on a four-year, $63M sign-and-trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers, agent Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. In three-team deal, Heat get a second-round pick and Spurs acquire Cedi Osman, Lamar Stevens and a second-rounder. pic.twitter.com/xKAmqlx3aF
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2023
Good, we didn't get roped in to cedi
Yeah, kind of crazy. Max deals for non-super stars are killing teams and Memphis gives a 25yo with no All-Star, All-NBA, or All-Defense teams a max extension, when no other teams are competing with them on price.FTAG 2000 said:TexAg1822 said:Desmond Bane, Grizzlies agree to 5-year, $207M max extension https://t.co/rS9nU7Wk9i

Both players we are getting are on expirings. Essentially paying $8MM+ for a second rounder. Don't exactly get it unless we actually like Cedi.
