Blake Allemand is unleashing a personal vendetta on LSU

Aggie shortstop Blake Allemand has something against LSU.

And whatever it is, he's channeling it.

Two games into the 'series of the year,' Allemand is making general chaos everywhere he goes in Alex Box Stadium. His Cloverfield rampage began Thursday night with three hits, one walk and one run scored in a "losing effort." But he returned Friday for more.

In the ongoing second game Allemand has made the greatest impact this side of Ryan Hendrix, tallying two hits, an RBI (then the go-ahead run), a run scored and a #SCTop10 nominee to help stymie LSU's speedy offense. Observe:

Come on Stew, everybody that is on the baseball board is actively following the game. It's not hard to wait until the game is over. Baseball has etiquette.
I guess the part that I don't quite understand is that this specific story is being called a jinx. I'm admitedly not superstitious, but I understood the reaction to Beau's first story about "things that have happened since we lost a series." I get that. And I get the whole "don't talk about the no-hitter during the no-hitter" thing. But posting a couple great plays from a game during the game? I just fail to see how that's a jinx.

Let's say someone had posted those vines in a game thread, would anyone have called it a jinx? If someone had started a new thread with those vines, would anyone have called it a jinx? But it seems that because staff posted them as a short, shareable story, it suddenly is a jinx.

I understand everyone is frustrated about the game and want something to blame, but all I'm asking is that you avoid personal attacks and unreasonably piling on our staff.

We hear you loud and clear that some of you think posting any kind of story during a game isn't following baseball etiquette, so we'll have a conversation about how to approach it in the future.

In the meantime, BTHOLSU.

It's not an attack on staff, you would have seen the same reactions if a poster had started the same thread. Beaus has put out some good stuff and there is no denying that. It's just really frustrating to see someone like Gabe, who is a real baseball guy, defend Beau because he is staff when you know you shouldn't talk about baseball like that.

Alright, well if that's true and a thread with those vines would have caused the same reaction, then I stand corrected. We'll definitely talk about how to approach baseball content like this. Thanks for the input.

I don't think that anyone *really* thinks this story was a jinx. It's just more piling on for the "Things that have happened since..." story, which is what put us in this funk.

Oh, but I read none of the "vine" and started skimming late on page 1 of this thread.
