@CDub: Yeah, I'm not planning on putting the white outline in, as I'm working with 1 meter cubes, and it just looks to chunky to me.

Yeah, I put it over water because it was quicker to make an island than to clear and level a 100x53 area of grass. I'm expanding the foundation and making the first decks next. Does anyone know how many rows are in the first deck? I remember about 34?

@Jonnie: Already fixed. Had Texas A&M in one, Texas Aggies in the far one, to see which one fit better. Had trouble with the "&", so Texas Aggies it is.

Home server. If I knew how to make a public server and transfer this over, I definitely would, lol. What you see in the above picture is about 3 hours of work, give or take. Spent another 1.5 correcting things in it today already. :P

Maybe I'll walk you through how to make it so ANYONE (who's on your WhiteList) can join up and help you.

It's EXTREMELY helpful to have groups of ppl working. It cuts down the work time by the number of people generally. 5 people = working in 1/5 the time.

kbassil: That would be great! At the moment, my plan is just for the stadium (ambitious enough, for now) but I'm thinking about trying to build the campus around it.

Tonight's update: Finished most of the 'track' around the field, and built out the semi-circle of grass the bleachers sit on. Have the first few rows of the first deck all the way around done, the tunnels were a bit of a nutroll, but I think the ones I put in are workable. Trying to figure out how many rows in the zone vs. the alumni section vs. the student section. Still have to add the aTm in the center of the field and move one line of hash marks one square over.

Why does this game look like something from 1995?

Each end zone is different. One is maroon with white outline. The other white with maroon outline.


And this doesn't really take away from what you've done. But there are yard lines every 5 yards with only the 10's being numbered. But it still looks cool.

@Kitten: Yeah I saw that, and that's going to be a continuing issue with the finer details; you can only get so detailed with 1 meter cube blocks before it starts to be cluttered. After re-examining the field, I'm going to have to make some time to move the yard numbers closer to the center by about 2 blocks; they are closer to the hash marks IRL and I want to make sideline yard markers.

Graphically, it's old, but it's incredibly addicting.

It has to look that way to be able to do what he is doing with Kyle Field. Imagine if it was with today's graphical power? Do you know how much computing power that would require?

Well done - I've been spending the last month trying to find floor plans or models that I could use to build Kyle Field. Glad someone else has taken up the reigns. If you got a server going I would be more than willing to help out.

I can't talk, really. I was building an entire quest of Zelda using ZQuest a few years back. I made it through a lot of the overworld and one dungeon before I grew bored and quit. It was addictive though and I was using the original 8-bit graphics so it didn't have that going for it.
