the horns are 3-11 vs. the RPI top 50.

2 of those 3 wins came in the opening weekend of the season vs. Rice.

the other one came today vs. Oklahoma State.

in-between t.u. was terrible vs. good teams. This recent surge is primarily due to playing Baylor 5 times in the past 8 days -- the 8th place team in the BDF

If the NCAA wants to make money they will have them a 3 seed. Doubt they will have them go against the 1 seed in the regional right off the back as a 4

If they really want to make money send them to CS.

Blue Bell will be sold out and rockin just fine without the sippers.

CS is going to be sold out already, how will they make more money by sending them here? They won't.

But by sending them to Dallas or Houston they will guarantee sell outs at those two regionals making them more money. Smart play would be to not send them to CS.

If tu goes to a DBU or UH regional tthat would sell a few extra 1000 tickets
The NCAA does not care money when it is a drop in a bucket
But the buzz that tu v A&M would generate would be valuable

I Don't have an opinion where the sips end up
would not be surprised if they were here as 4
but that is probably my BAS kicking in

Technically, the Committee doesn't consider strength of the 2,3,4 seeds when deciding where to place them. The Committee doesn't even consider the strength of 1 seeds either when determining the super regional pairings, except for not pairing top 8 seeds against each other in Round 2. Travel distance (cost) is the primary driver of the regional pairings. After all, they are intended to truly be "regional". Last year, Rice, UT and A&M were all in the same regional, as a reminder.

With that said, there is some human element involved in this, so given that UT and A&M were in the same regional last year, I would not expect them to be paired again. Of course, this would be counter balanced by trying to develop a spectacle in order to generate TV ratings and promote the sport. Let's face it, A&M vs Texas on Day 1 would generate some good ratings for ESPN.

That may be but I don't think anyone besides us cares about it.

We aren't awful... We aren't good either. And DBU and UH are much weaker - we beat them. NCAA will do everything they can to ensure the sips get into the SR's.... They are College Baseball royalty
And just why are they College Baseball royalty?

Maybe, just maybe, it's because they have 34 CWS appearances. The next closest is 23. Plus they have the all-time winningest coach in NCAA baseball history...

Why are the Yankees baseball Royalty? Same reason.

Tons of success with the best teams money can buy.

it's funny all the hype the horns are getting now. If their run thru the Big 12 tourney had included 1 or 2 wins against TCU...that would make some sense. But I don't believe Baylor is showing up at DBU's regional
