I'm also wondering why we don't play Taylor as third. Seems like that would be a major defensive upgrade over anyone else whose played there.

I know there were rumors during fall and spring practice that they were trying out Taylor at 3rd. The fact that they've tried Gideon, Nottebrok, Melton, and now McLendon over there before they gave him a shot leads me to believe they didn't think that was a good spot for him.

The whole thing with Gideon is absurd. Ump blew the call. Gideon had a spontaneous reaction and then started walking away. Ump ejected him as he was walking away. Gideon misses today's game too. No consequences for umpire. BS. If anyone should be suspended today its is that second base umpire.

It was a horrible call. He should be upset about it. However, slamming his helmet down was stupid and basically asking to be ejected. I'm not sure if this is an ncaa/sec suspension or childress suspension. If it's a childress suspension, I don't have a problem with it.

I don't think it's a Childress suspension. I feel like he would have at least let him watch the game from the bench. From what I understood, he wasn't allowed to be at the park today.
