I don't think it's a rigged casion over the long term. Some of you are so battered by the rough years when they dominated us.I think now that we're in the SEC and under different leadership we can beat them consistently.quote:
there are a bunch of those that don't remember or never wanted to recognize what sip did to us let them wander the wilderness for a few more years....and then play on our terms
By "did to us" are you talking about contracts that favored them or beating us on the field.
1) It should go without saying that we will accept no contract that isn't equally beneficial for both schools in terms of a series. If our leadership isn't competent enough to not get screwed by them when given that as the only acceptable criteria, we have bigger problems as an institution.
2) If it's because you're upset they beat us so consistently over the years, I'd say that was then, this is now. I think we will beat them consistently, and not playing someone because you're afraid of losing is downright pathetic.quote:
let them wander the wilderness for a few more years....and then play on our terms
This is more naive thinking.
They won't "wander the wilderness" the way people on here want to pretend. They have a ridiculous amount of resources and can easily be successful enough in the weaker Big XII to be a huge headache for us in recruiting.
They pulled in a good class this year (particularly compared to other Big XII schools) while giving us a big scare for Mack/Murray and landing Jefferson at a need position for us. They may not be contending for national titles, but they aren't wandering the wilderness either.
It IS a rigged casino . . . for as long as whorn is better at media manipulation and political positioning. It's the necessary outcome of a big law and journalism school. Look @ that damn LWN deal. Tell me that was fair to the other Big-12 teams. And all that yellow laundry that helps whorn win . . . versus Ok State, Kansas, Iowa State, and yes, Texas A&M. You aren't even trying to deny that the casino is rigged. All you are arguing is that it wont be rigged forever.
Whorn effed us in terms of contracting (A&M pulled its pants down here. The school is just awful @ contract negotiating, see the damn Seattle Seahawk 12th Man license for detail). And yes, whorn effed us on the field (yellow laundry). And yes, whorn effed us in the ESiPN booth. There was some nasty hatchet-work around the time of the SECede movement. Recall David Bin rUbben (it out)'s fine work? How about the lack of respect A&M got from all the whorns? "Little Brother"; "They are your problem now"; "blowU is our rival".
I'm not afraid of losing to those pathetic, needy, manipulative, greedy money-whorns. STOP SPINNING. These are rational arguments, there is no need for A&M to ever play whorn regularly. It simply isn't in A&M best interest. We got 'em by the balls in recruiting with our SEC position compared to their 'JV football is still really exciting' league. If A&M ever decided to play whorn regularly, whorn would use their spin to vastly reduce this recruiting advantage. ITS NOT ABOUT WHORN ANYMORE. It's about what's best for A&M as we go for a natty.
Oh, and whorn's latest class was pure Frantasy. I mean it was Frantastic. Good LB, good corners, no Oline or Dline. Aggies know how great a strategy that is. . .
