New Army fail makes me sad. We went 12-0 in 1992 (lost bowl), and 10-0-1 in 1994.

So historically the most losses we get after going 6-0 is 3 and nominally it is 1

I worked for the team during those exact years. Two under Slocum, three under Fran. I had to show up for practice the Tuesday after 77-0. Maybe the lowest point in our program's history...

same here.

though, our schedules back then were pretty weak, and nothing compared to what we have now.

I remember actually rooting for tu/bu/tech etc...to win games just so we could spank down a ranked team, but they rarely ever cooperated.

the SWC was extreemely weak during those years.

I was there from 94-98. All I ever knew was pretty much lose on nationally televised games against ranked opponents and don't bother showing up for the bowl games.

We could join the Sun Belt if you olds want to relive your glory days of beating down on teams in the FBS (Division I for you olds) cellar.

But seriously, going 6-0 to start this year would trump anything we did back in the 90s to start a year.

Although, living in the past, it would be nice to get some payback this year on Notre Dame and FSU for our Cotton Bowl losing streak they gave us in the 90s. I wouldn't mind beating FSU there this year.

but beating down the SWC beat the ever livin' ever lovin' compund complex fightin' Texas Aggie HELL outta the fran years.

don't think anyone is lining the hens up next to the eggs. Just marveling at what the team has a chance to accomplish more than anything. We've hardly ever gone into October undefeated in the last 20 some odd years.

Vegas doesn't even have us right now, so no one will be surprised when we fall short on Saturday. And then again, no one will be surprised when we don't fall short. That's the beauty of this season.
